[New player]Questions

so after carefull consideration - To be or not to be -
I've decided to buy this game.

i will be getting it tomorow evening and hopefully be online tomorow evening.

this is my first real MMORPG I have ever played

some questions,

1.i'm probably gonna go for Dark Templar. anyone have any experience with it ?

2.proffessions ? when should I get it ?

3.anyone got armour/weapons that a starter can use

4.which world/server should I join ?

anymore usefull information is greatly appreciated.

- Non myself but I her they're currently underpowered in pvp who knows in a month.

2.proffessions ? when should I get it ?

Get them everytime you can. (all gathering at 20, both crafting at 40 second tier gathering at 40 etc) I didn't do this and it takes allot more time to go back and do them then it does to grab and do them as you level.

3.anyone got armour/weapons that a starter can use

Armor/Gear isn't that important and very easy to acquire so you don't need this.

4.which world/server should I join ?

Blood Eagle the TW guild is on Doomsayer. Msg me (Draynar) Tse(Figgi) Or Breyer, Majere/Germanicu or Cromulus

1.i'm guessing I won't have to do much PvP the first 20 lvl's ? so i'm hoping it will be even out a little

2.so you can't start a proffesion until you're lvl 20 ? good, that gives me some time to understand this game etc.

3.okay,so you get weapons immediatly from the start ?

When it comes to PvP starting out on Tortage you should be aware of the PVP areas.

1. White Sands Isle
2. Underhalls

Once you zone into either of those areas, you are flagged and ganking can and will commence. Just as a warning so you know to expect it once you start playing.

Feannag is correct. Though it's easy to change instances or re-spawn at a different GY.

okay so apparently because EU is some 3th world shithole, we can't play with the NA servers.

gonnna see if I can get my hand on a NA copy and play it.

there is a triangle next to your map, click it and a checkbox option shows up and select instance.

IF YOU LOSE YOUR ICON AND OTHER ICONS ON THE MAP RECLICK THE CHECKBOX, this is the #1 issue I have had to help friends with because they think its a bug =P

After selecting the option "Select Instance" there will be a list, yours should be the one with the highlighted background, your leaders will be the Star.

If you are the leader, other group members will show up as little heads.

when I leveled a second char, I managed to avoid white sands alltogether. just hang out in Tortage-Night and Acheronian Ruins-Day and you'll be fine until 18 or so.

Also the Boozed Bully's in the bar in the town are good to grind on. If people are being faggots in White Sands it's much less painful to beat up mobs in the pirate ship for a bit.

pick up at least some of the gathering professions while in your 20s. at least pick up the leather and wool ones.

do the night time quest chains when you start. get out of the n00b zone at 19.

dont worry too much about gear/money early on.

consider joining with blood eagle on Doomsayer server. :)

1. How the fuck do I learn gathering skills? Got a 21 Assassin [and liking it] and I can't figure out where/how to get my first skill. Plus, what tree should I do as Assassin for later PVP? Gimme good idea stuffs.
