What have you been spending your skill points on?
Is perception tied to your search skill? So far I've assumed it is. Mostly been dumping points into mana regen, recovery, and hiding as a necromancer.

Yes perception is tied into it.
I'm putting points into everything because I've been using all of them, even climb. With my caster though I make sure that I keep my casting concentration very high.

stopped putting points into concentration a while ago. I can't even remember the last time i got interrupted or had pushback on a spell. Maybe 25 levels ago. Also, most of the caster gear I find has concentration on it b/c the itemization for us blows.

As far as I'm aware, CC is bugged and any points into it makes you uninterruptible. I haven't put any points into it since level 35 (I'm 49 now), and haven't noticed a difference. If I wasn't cheap I would reset it and drop 1 point in it and see what happens.

I boosted my run speed, and regens as well as casting concentration. I'm not sure how any of those work and it's pretty cheap to reset them once you hit your 60s/70s (money isn't much of a problem). I've got maybe 100 points put into perception and I can still uncover high 70s in kheshetta.

I read through the forums with more and more dismay and I'm hearing very random reports on hiding/perception/searching. I hear everything from shit breaking stealth easily all the way to people with max perception + searching unable to see someone hiding in melee range with the minimum hiding skill.
You may have to just put some in it and see if it works or not.
