Prison System?

I was poking around the official forums, and I popped into the PvP section (since I'm hearing lots of stuff about class balances, etc.) and I see at least 4 or more threads about some kind of "PvP prison system". Everyone's all up in arms, this and that, and I don't see any stickies or info around so I asked people for a legit link to this prison nonsense. Someone coughed up this G4TV link (http://www.g4tv.com/mmoreport/videos/26003/The_MMO_Report_Age_of_Con an_Special.html) as some sort of evidence. It's apparently an interview with designer Jason Stone, mainly talking about a PvP prison system. I question it a bit since I have never seen/heard about this person and I would think something as big as that would be presented by one of FunCom's official PR people instead of some employee the public hasn't really heard of. The only timestamp I could see was in the comments, and that puts it 3 days after AoC release and easily a week and a half ago. So it doesn't seem as legit as the player base is making it out to be.

So anyone else have any info/comments on this seemingly retarded system?

Well again I question the validity of it because

1. That special, at the minimum, aired more than a week and a half ago. It's old by default.

2. Jason Stone isn't someone people know, he's one of the backstage designers working on the game. The prison system would be a big enough deal where they'd get one of the team's PR people in there to announcement versus a quiet, soft-spoken designer no one really knows.

But I guess we'll see if it's true or not in time.

i don't really grief so it wont effect me. obviously i dont know the detaisl of how this might be implemented other than what dude said in the interview. i don't like the idea of it though. the game is touted as a gnarly, brutal, excessively violent world. to nerf it up like that seems to kind of go against what they're pitching everyone whose buying this game.

I think it's funny, prison break outs would rule
