1. any of you find DW remotely useful? im 34 and so far its pointless unless you pve 90% of the time (which i dont) on crazy HP mobs (which i dont).


2. Can anyone reproduce the No Escape (catastrophic) bug? If i knew what is triggering the bug that occurs after No Escape, maybe i could avoid it. So far the only way to fix it is to die or zone.

3. for the last many levels (and for the foreseeable future) i have a somewhat static lineup for when you GET the pounce on somewhat. what's your lineup?

4. anyone find staggering punch useful? at max lvl i dont see them staying snared very long since the snare starts when they are knocked down, not when they get back up, so it only lasts what? a second or two? before they have the crazy 40+ second immunity to all followup snares. comments?

5. can anyone justify Finishing Blow? Any high lvl characters out there who see it as an awesome ability w/1-3 pts?

5a. finishing blow mechanic:

When you do combos the initial hits land, then the actual combo lands and displays a special message:
Your Stunning Punch II does XXX damage to GiantDouche.
But when you do finishing blow, it goes: "You gain Finishing Blow."
then you zoom to the guy, and white attack:
"Your slash does xxx to GiantDouche."
a. i thought this was just an auto attack but its ~3x stronger than a white attack (still significantly lower than any combo).
b. this isnt displaying like a combo.
c. i get the hunch that since its a feat the coders may have wanted it to scale, and so it would make sense to make it a amplified white attack (hidden buff for 1 swing) - can anyone at higher lvl test this out? see what you get for Finishing Blow and compare it to your white attacks?

There is none.

The only triggered immunity is root immunity which lasts 40 seconds.

Knockback (for most KB attacks) imparts a 15 second knockback immunity.
Root imparts a 45 second immunity.
Stun imparts a 60 second immunity.
I cant remember snare immunity, but am guessing there is one.


All proper knockback/stun/snare/root spells result in immunity. If you've found one that doesnt, youve found an oddity.

If you are going to make a cynical, sarcastic correction to the original poster ("I dont know where people (read: idiots) get this stuff...") try and make sure youre right first.

OK you're half right.

40 second snare immunity.
20 second stun immunity.
40 second root immunity,

30 second knockback resistance (+300).

I guess that counts as "immunity", but I think there are knockbacks that might get around it.

This is all only on players though not mobs, I figured mobs would get the same immunities but they don't.

And I didn't mean any insult so don't be a cunt.
