Rofl... going on almost hour and a half now.

I installed last night, it took about 45 minuts or so. Patching took about 25 - 30 minutes.

Hey Terra, I'll warn you now... If you have an open beta account or you got a War Mammoth you have to enter the key on the manual in the account page. You get it by hitting the "Use a Key to add a Prepaid Card, Upgrade a Subscription or Create a Subscription" link. It's not obvious and it'll save you some frustration, because any open beta accounts are caneled until you enter the code, and it's not obvious where to enter it.

32 gb to copy over... this is madness

dude i started installing around 6 i think..now its 9:57...fucking bullshit

:lol: i've heard of some long install times .. do you have 4x dvd burners? I have a newer 16x dvd burner/player and it took 55 mins to install and about 15 mins to download the 6g patch @ 600k/sec

the patch is 600 mb not 6000 i think....installation took like 30min-1hr..downloading patch took forever...its almost done ...sigh of relief

Just FYI....

I am running Vista, and earlier today it wouldnt fucking patch the game. It would download the patch, and it looked like it was installing, but then when I clicked the "Play Now" button, it would start all over again downloading and patching.

After several minutes of this, I took matters into my own hands and had to manually rename the new AgeOfConan.exe.tmp file it downloaded to AgeOfConan.exe and it finally loaded.

Some stupid shit with Vista and it's gay permission shit I assume, but in case this happens to someone else, that's how I fixed it and got it running.

Wierd I had to do the same thing .. i noticed my ageofconan.exe was missing, upon further investigation they had renamed it..

and the patch that I installed last nite was 6000 mb.

any way to download an install online before i buy the game?

You guys think I spread misinformation? Simple math would dictate a 6GB patch on a game that's a little under 26GB would mean the patch is roughly 23% of the total game install. As bloated as some patches can be, I don't ever think a patch would be so huge as to add up to close to a full quarter of the total game. At that rate it would probably be easier just to re-write the game from the ground-up.

My Add/Remove Program list puts it at 25.8GB.

patching is taking forever for me.

Going on about 3 hours now and it's only about half done. I get quick bursts at about 400 KB/s then it hangs for a couple minutes.

uh oh... just installed + patched it in like 2.5 hours total

i go to run it, and it keeps crashing

edit: well i downloaded a 800mb patch... now after rebooting its downloading another 200mb patch... eh?
