i played thebeta for about 45 min, thought the graphics were nice, said i'd play again when they let you pvp, and i never touched it.

Right now the pvp is a little broken mainly because of the spawn camping, but once they fix it the game is pretty fun, just watch out for the assassins who wait for you to lose health to strike.

I hear some classes are pretty gimp/broken though. I hear the only 2 real mage classes are busted, demonologist and necro. Sucks because if I want to play it I will have to play the healer/nuker hybrid (ToS) which I know will be nerfed eventually to be a mediocre nuker which happens in every MMORPG.

Demo and necro will get buffed and be flavor of the month in like 2 months. Calling it now.

The game is awesome, you don't know what the fuck you are talking about. It had, what I would call one of the smoothest MMO launches I have ever witnessed.

I was in a server when it launched for longer than I care to divulge and I didn't have one crash, and I had a sub 130 ping the entire time.

Now I wont lie to you. If you are coming into this expecting Blizzard level polish, you aren't going to find it. There are rough edges they will have to sand out, and it will take time. For instance, the chat interface needs a lot of work. They, for some stupid reason, put everyone in your guild into your friends list. Stupid things like that. But the core of the game is there and it is fun.

A lot of people are complaining about class balance. Which is fucking retarded at the levels they are complaining about. Almost every experienced closed beta tester says all of the classes become more and more balanced as they get higher levels. There are early bloomers like the Tempest of Set, Herald of Xalti and Barbarian. And there are late bloomers like the Bear Shaman, Necro, and Dark Templar.

They also took a great idea from City of Heroes and have implemented what is called a Apprentice system which is similar to CoH's Side Kick system.

We'll see how things go tomorrow, but as far as early release everything went very smoothly. Hopefully they got their shit in order with the extended downtime they are having tonight.

I've only had 2 niggers spawn camping, but I just ressed at another point in the zone and ran back and 1v2's them.

I already tried, it seems my account is cancelled/banned/frozen. I get an error trying to re-activate, and I'm not allowed into the forums.

I can't believe I am getting graphics lag with my rig. I even set it on low and it still jumps. And I can't get on the official forums for some tweaks. :(

I'm not sure if it's server load or some of the newest patches, but I did notice a more sluggish feeling to the game today. Runs pretty smooth for the most part, but I'll get glitches and spikes every once in a while.

My system:
E8400
2 GB PC-6400
8800 gts 512 mb

Running the game at 1680x1050 with the default settings.

Is it true if you can run Oblivion you can run AoC?

if your getting good framerates, but random spikes to 10ish, lower your view distance in video options. 800ish works 100x better then 1000 lol

See, theres a slider for NPC/PC view distances also. So I dont know how it works. My current settings even with view distance lowered, i could clearly see PCs and NPC at a pretty far distance.
