Feannag 05-12-2008, 12:28 PM Okay so I'm Mexican and I'm still under protection and just rounded the last of the tutorial (building my last poncho now). But all my resource pits are level 2 and half the farms are level 3 and I notice I'm using up a lot more iron now. Normally I wouldn't have noticed but all my resource pit output are the same per hour across the board (except food) and I notice I have a lot more clay and lumber leftover and not enough iron.
Anyone else have this problem or is it possibly a Mexican thing?
Panchos take a lot of Iron to produce...that's all.
Indian's archers take a bit more wood than other stuff
cowboys are pretty even with clay being outfront.
Trade 100 food for 300 iron on the market.
Feannag 05-12-2008, 12:36 PM Yeah I will, I'm just trying to finish the tutorial and keep pace with food. It seems if you don't upgrade a farm ever 2 - 3 building upgrades you become behind on food and then you have to wait longer to get enough food to build again.
Yep. All of my farms are level 3, all of my materials are level 2. Always try to keep food ahead IMO.
Feannag 05-12-2008, 01:27 PM Well that sucked, I had 4 ponchos and making a 5th and I was an idiot and tried to raid. Well I lost on poncho though everyone came back with max. capacity (45kg per) but now with 1 poncho down I can't complete the tutorial until I make another one, and once again I need more iron...
Wait till you have 12 panchos to attack. You shouldn't lose a troop unless you roll really bad luck if you wait till then.
Baloo 05-12-2008, 01:47 PM Feannag, I am really close to you. I got quite a bit of iron. How much do you need. My second merchant should be ready to go in 11 minutes. If you have any extra wood, i could use some. And if you need food, i have quite a lot as well. my village is runningwithscissors. I'm 7 squares above you if you didnt know.
Feannag 05-12-2008, 02:24 PM Doesn't matter now, I upgraded my hiding place to lvl 2 as an extra incentive against losing shit while raiding and I sent my 4 ponchos out again. Last attacker luck was 10.2% and they all came back carrying their max. load. So I'll get 5 ponchos at once sooner or later and my protection isn't up for another day. I don't have much of anything now but if you need lumber I can send some later tonight when my production leaves me with better stores.
Also since I don't know the actual speed of the merchant I would assume my usual poncho speed (10 minutes/square) and since you are 11 squares from me I would assume it would be a little under 2 hours. Once my merchant comes back from Kels' shipment I'll send you a test shipment of 1 of something so I can see how much time it would take to get there and back.
Baloo 05-12-2008, 02:48 PM well...i had to go for lunch and before i went i sent you 150 iron and 300 food. it only takes 34 minutes (each way). Also, Vault (#1 guy) is really close to us as well. I think he should set up an embassy for all of us on the East part of the grid, he could upgrade it easily as he's takin in like 500 of each resource/raid. Currently it takes almost 12 hrs for me to send stuff to Kelster...
Feannag 05-12-2008, 02:49 PM Thanks Baloo, but now I'm down lumber but I wouldn't worry. I should have enough by the time I get out of work. And anything you sent me I don't use I'll ship to Kel for the Embassy upgrades.
After I complete the tutorial I'll work on more Ponchos and finding that magic number where I can raid and still come out in the black in terms of troop loss/plunder gains.

You may have to factor race into it. I still think this is so much like Travian each race and unit will travel a certain speed. Since you are Indian it's possible your caravans have less travel time per square (The Teutons, the Travian equivalent to Indians also had the fastest caravanss) so while you mean only need 34 minutes it may take me longer to shit stuff to you. Also it takes 9 hours and change for me to send shit to Kel.
And last I remember, we're not in the east but the west. I'm pretty much on the line of Quadrant II and III and if you are north of me that puts you in Quadrant II. Well it seems thanks to recent expansion I'm no longer on the line and more into Quadrant II with you. For anyone whose doing scripts it seems as of this post the coordinates for what looks to be the center of the world is 200, 200.
Baloo 05-12-2008, 02:59 PM oh ya..shit i got my east and west messed up. We are in the West. Vault is going to set up an alliance, once he does, send the stuff to him as he is very close.
Feannag 05-12-2008, 03:05 PM I'm presently in Kels Alliance, but if Vault is in the NW make sure he makes the alliance TW-NW or something like that. It will be easier to ID all of us if we name the regional alliances by location.
Baloo 05-12-2008, 03:23 PM ya...i'm in kels as well, thats how i sent you resources. i will tell vault to name it, but according to my map it seems like we're slightly below the equator, so it'll probably be called TW-SW. I think voxx is making one for the NW.
vault4food 05-12-2008, 03:26 PM Alliance up - Send me an ingame mail for an invite if you're in the southwest (Bottom left of your minimap) quadrant
