I just rewatched it (I was at work before) and I know it's 400+ lbs but what the fuck cheap shit kind of reps are those? lol

i'm not going to say much because there is no way i could put that up once. but he was throwing his back into it, bouncing the bar off his chest, and not locking out.

i would agree that those are some cheater ass reps.

Why this impressive? I'm not familiar with the math exactly, but anyone who can put up 600-700lbs is going to be able to rep like crazy on 405. Sure this guy is obviously up there in the world of bench press, but it's nothing special for them.

Same way I could put up 135 20 times, because I max out a good deal higher.

hmm.....i counted 6 plates + bar. If each plate is 45 pounds, and the bar weighs 45 lbs, then the total is 315. Where is the other 90lbs coming from?

reps look fine to me, he goes all the way down and stops before lockout until the end, when he uses lockout to rest.

Some people avoid lockout because they consider it cheating, i've also read that it is bad for you.

I know i can't do as many reps if I don't lockout.

Only thing that looks bad really is arching his back, which didn't look near as awful as a lot of people do it.
