AdreNaLiNe 05-09-2008, 01:19 PM From a PvE perspective, it really makes no difference. Extra health, stun resist, so on and so forth. For PvP though, the stun resist is obviously better.
For PvE, it might actually be troll (due to the racial haste buff). I think it was haste, correct me if wrong. As a matter of fact soj, I have an account with a 70 sham/priest on it (it's actually my account) that you can have. It just sits there. The sham is in all blues though, so you'll have to run karas with us and stuff, and you need to activate it.
To clarify, I have 2 accounts at the moment, 1 of which is active. The second one is the one with the sham/priest.
btw law, please fucking remove mossyoak from guild. hes so awful

I think it might be better to show him the ropes than to just boot him. What's the difference? He's not getting in the 25s atm.
Sojourn 05-09-2008, 02:52 PM What race and name? If it's named something like Fruitypants, you can forget about it.

ROFL, it's an anime character name (Shinkata). It was my cousin's account before he gave it t me. It is a troll Sham.
You can pay to have it changed now. :p
I'll pay to have it changed if you want to play, how's that?
Familiar 05-09-2008, 03:08 PM My chain heal is down to like 2.2 seconds now and I still manage like 2250 healing and don't need a spriest.
Shamans are broken...but coh priests are brokener :(

We can't manage ONE resto shaman on most nights, let alone an elemental. Our only consisten sham atm is enh. :(

Well, are you guys really that hard up to have a Shaman right now? Because I usually like to level my own characters, especially for a new class I have no experience with. Otherwise, sure, but I can't start playing until Monday at any rate.
dont forget loto is playing mogrog now...

Loto playing mogrog means we'll have 2 shams? Honestly, I prefer 3-4. So, unless diju's back for good, which I'm starting to wonder about, we'd still have 3. If we have 4 shams, we can probably have you go ret too, and run 2 resto shams, resto druid, 2 holy palys, 2 holy priests. Another resto druid if we need an 8th healer for some fights, I suppose.

Sort of. But if you prefer leveling your own character, that's cool by me too bro. The biggest problem is always leveling takes time, then gearing takes time. I offered to eliminate one is all. But like I said, we have 1 sham atm that's consistent. So, now if we get 2 with loto, it'll still be better than 1. :)
We get by with what we can atm.

The way shamans work alliance side it is incredibly hard to recruit one. Just about everyone who was a shaman rolled it up to be x spec and they did it so their guild would have a shaman. So you have two choices really with where you are in progression. You either get a shaman from some random kid who has decided he is tired of pvp and will most likely quit in 3 months of raiding, or you plevel someone and they become YOUR shaman.
It sucks because an optimal raid has 4-5 shamans.
My guild got lucky with one recruit from a dead guild and another getting tired of their ridiculous raid times (deus vox) and atm we have 1 enh 1 ele and 4 resto shamans.
Sojourn 05-09-2008, 03:31 PM To be honest, it's been a while since I played, and I was always Alliance (except that short run with you guys) so I never really got a good look at Shamans, so I never really saw what a good resto sham could do. Are they really that important to a raid now? I used to love being the primary healing druid in a raid... but I don't imagine there is such a thing in regards to a shaman.

We had 2 very solid healing shams so far. Both of which were not from TW. I considered us lucky for getting them, but RL starts sucking them away. We had 1 excellent elemental sham (Synth) and 1 recruited who was pretty good. Both have been gone too. We also had Fourstar on here who was an enhancement sham LOLCOUPONLOL. Motherfucker sold without saying a goddamn thing and hasn't said a thing, posted once, or logged on AIM since.

They are SO massive. The only thing more hacks than chain heal is circle of healing (priests) in the endgame. And you get totems to boot which can be put in ANY group (melee, caster, hunter, healer, even tank).

Well, I'm cool with going with your Shaman, if I can pick the name. I'm sure I can figure out how to play it, if you guys are a little patient with me and offer a few tips along the way. Healing is generally a pretty basic concept: Keep people alive. It's getting used to the spells, the totems, the mana management, and all the little nuances that I'll need to get used to. I had that all down as a Druid. Shit, I never ran out of mana. I can work that all out though. A bit of research, some experimentation, and it will be no big deal.
how about i play kichu and go boomkin!!! yay :sunny:
