HudBot update?

Dutch pointed me to andrews site citing an update for HudBot. I'm using tribes FTW, he said andrews fix corrects the unresponsive client thing.. anyone know about this?

The new hudbot includes a patch for vista if that's what you're talking about.

No, I already have NoFix vista fix which I had to add once I installed TRIBES ftw. So is there any reason for me to 'update' and get andrews new hudbot?

You'll have to clarify what you mean by "unresponsive client' then. Unresponsive lasthope client?

We are kicking people that have either the troc mem.dll (cheat) or the andrew v4
mem.dll (not cheat) because they both look the same.

So if your config has a file mem.dll in your tribes folder that is 8192 bytes in size
and you are getting kicked with a message that says "use hudbot" then this is the
culprit.

You can download the hudbot dll from andrew's site and drop it in the same place as
the 8192 byte mem.dll. It supports all the same features as the andrew v4 mem.dll.

it is the link that says "mem.dll only" in case he changes it.

an unresponsive client is a different issue. the lasthope on sh-thole will give you 4
chances to respond to a query and each query gives you 2 seconds to answer. This
is pretty generous even for 'foreign' high ping players. If you are getting this then there
is a problem in your config - and give me a copy of that config LOL.

:wave: atomic, thanks for the help. I use the tribes ftw config, so there is no mem.dll in there. Guess there is no need to fix what isn't broken. Thanks guys.
