What headphones do you use for recording? I picked up a pair of these:

and they're fucking ridiculous. Not perfect but damn close. The bass reponse is pretty fucking good and they're crystal clear.

Some random songs that sound great:
Steely Dan-Peg
Norwegian Wood-Beatles
Start Choppin-Dinosaur Jr.
Helplessly Hoping-CSN

I have Grado SR80s, I use them for general listening and audio work.

Fostex T40RP's, they're pretty much a studio standard.

sony mdr-7506

best headphones ive ever had. mdr-700s suck, and feel like you're wearing a helmet on your head and usually end up breaking in a few months.

Behringer is shit.

Try K-ROKs instead. They're in the same neighborhood in price, and they're way better.

For headphones, I have some cheap Nadys that I use to spot-check mixes and for general listening at work and at home.

They're the ones with the yellow speakers right? I had 3 people recommend me the Behringers but I've never gotten the chance to hear them. Man, that sucks that they're shit bc I found a good deal.

behringer makes some ok stuff, and speakers is not one of them. if you want loud music they are ok, but if you want quality stay away. a good low in speaker is the rokit's. I have 2 Rokit 5's with the RP-10 sub. Event 20/20 is good, Mackie has good monitors. Dynaudio is win. So is JBL. Go to Guitar Center and take a look, they have a room full of studio monitors you can try.

Just picked up a pair of Sennheiser hd 280s for 55 bucks on harmony centrals forums, I'll edit once I give them a listen

edit: solid headphones. The first thing I noticed was the isolation..they aren't noise cancelling but I can't hear myself typing right now. They reproduce the sounds without amplifying any part of the EQ very well...I hear what the artist wanted to be heard(what is this called? its flat something...)
