Messed up on a phoenix, and had an egg respawn, along with another Phoenix. Started causing deaths, followed by wipe.

Totally wanted him on our first night too. Just about the only thing I TRULY hate about PvE is fucking trash mobs.

I'm curious how the trash works now that you can go straight to him? Does everything respawn if you don't kill Alar first?

Yes. I think it's the same respawn timer as if you kept wiping on A'lar (2 hrs?).

We cleared everything Tuesday night, wiped a few times on A'lar and once on Solarian. We haven't touched the place in a while, and before that, we only did it twice heh. So, it was real disappointing, on Tuesday, to see us wipe on bullshit. I think it was the first time in a while that I actually got upset over a video game.

We tried Kael basically with 24 people last night (had a rogue in greens since everyone's computer suddenly broke during this week when we did TK instead of BT/hyjal). The rogue was putting out 300 dps. Took a while to break out of P2 on the weapons (I don't think the weapons got a hp nerf, but I could be wrong). Basically, we'd have a weapon or two up still.

The weapons and advisers got like a 10% hp nerf in 2.3 or so, we didn't beat him until after the nerf either.

The trash used to be worse than it is now, more like 10 packs instead of 5 or 6 now.

We had an awful group make up. I think we could have had the dps to get to P4 much easier. We were missing a boomkin and elemental sham, which we usually have. We had that rogue in the healer group too, and we didn't have an arms warrior. Overall, I was pissed that so many people didn't show up. We had 3-4 people who's "computer's and video cards" broke this week. Seriously, how coincidental is that? heh

Kael'Thas is an awesome fight...i'm really disappointed they removed the requirements for people having to kill him to get into MH/BT but I guess it doesn't really matter. Guilds who can't kill Kael won't get much past the "reward" bosses in MH/BT. Few of those reward bosses give exceptional loot anyways, especially now that Sunwell is out...however they can just farm badges and get similar quality gear :-/

Overall, being hand-fed MH/BT would feel less of an accomplishment not having to have killed Kael...the first few bosses in MH/BT are incredibly easy, especially now that they're nerfed more and more. That being said, i'm glad I have my Hand lf A'dal title earned before 2.4.

I remember my first Vashj kill everyone got was killed by the green stuff on the floor, at the second before our paladin died, my Unstable Affliction ticked and killed her...really rewarding and fun fight.

After we got our first round of vials we had to go back twice to get another round of people attuned (one time we just killed kael and another time we had to kill kael and vashj) In the process we lost 3 or 4 members including the main tank!

Most people REALLY hate doing stuff that doesn't directly reward them (even though Kael loot is awesome and if you finish it you can get hyjal rep rings)

The hyjal rep rings are borderline legendary quality.

Yep, that's the only reason we're going back. We feel that, despite not having killed Kael and Vash, it's not that we CAN'T. We just chose to skip because after a month in there, the guild already was tired.

Because we're not hardcore raiders, we were raiding 2 nights a week, and didn't really have the time or the will to kill Vash and Kael.

Now that we're raiding 3, we have taken the effort out to do it.

Vash took us about 3 nights. I think Kael may actually be easier, should have him down in 2.

We tend to learn things really fast. After Rage and Aneth, along with first 3 bosses of BT, we decided to just go back and kill Vash for the sake of doing it, for progression. That was last week. This week, we want to finish off Kael. Overall, we've spent 1-2 weeks in both MH and BT so far, and we got all the bosses we should have killed down.

So, technically, we skipped Vash/Kael, but we really didn't. The guild is learning fast and I thought the fight was cool as shit last night too. We should have him by Sunday.

Well I'm done with my fucking semester, so hopefully me in place of Lucipher and some experience on Kael will get us a clean kill on Sunday.

A lot of people joined us/wanted to join us after they saw our potential. We're not a world guild, nor will we be even close to a US ranked guild, but we're not retards. We learn relatively fast, we just don't devote as much time.

Downing Kael'thas was one of the most rewarding feelings in wow.
