It's not nearly as hot shit as you seem to think. Lots of other rings are better.

grats guys, kael is still one of the hardest bosses in the game (sans sunwell), requires a lot of coordination

doing it in two nights is very good as well, enjoy your hyjal rings

While some of us are well geared, others like myself, still are rocking mostly T4 stuff. The badge gear did help and some BT/Hyjal did help the MT. It was one of the more animated fights. Seeing the mid-fight footage and all that was pretty damn cool. We were able to get P2 and P3 down with about 5-10 seconds left in the end. I imagine we probably would need to farm more T5 content or continue with Hyjal and BT without the 10% hp nerf. The guilds that did it originally must have had to spend a ton of time in SSC/TK prior to really getting a good shot at it.

We had it easier, but we tried our best to make it harder, and do it faster, and get to him faster than before.

But you guys are right, it felt great finally getting him down, and it was a damn cool fight to boot.

No one killed the weapons before the advisors spawned the old way, and no one had all the advisors down when Kael spawned. That's part of what made the fight hard, you still had stuff from the previous phase alive when the next one started.

Your DPS was probably about in-line with that.

Yea, our first ~8 attempts or so, we had telonicus up when Kael spawned.

Our second to last attempt was when our sham finally got MC'ed (yea, I know, we have so few shams, fucking flakiest class we got). Telonicus was up about 10 seconds after Kael came out. So, on our last attempt, we BL'ed at P3 (should have known in the first place).

The damndest thing though...Kael would spawn and NO MATTER WHERE I WAS, he'd target me and start casting a fireball IMMEDIATELY. Our MT would stand right in front of him, and he'd target me, cast a fireball, and instantly killed me. We ended up having a rogue on him to WAIT just to kick it, and our MT would tank it fine.

I died twice to this last night, and then we put a rogue to interrupt and I FD'ed right at the start. We didn't read or hear about this part anywhere. No matter what though, he'd target me and do a fireball cast the first thing out of the spawn.

Actually, Tri didn't know he had to tank him at all in P5, before the gravity lapse, and it's flame strike, gimp. This isn't Zul'Jin. :lol:

For me as a tank the exaluted ring is the best in the game, the badge ring from SSO is rated the same as well as the ring off tidewalker, I was surprised how low the rings were rated for some of the other classes.

during the p3-p4 transition and after the gravity lapses I would make sure I was always in range of Kael to throw a quick counterspell on him

the most fun things were the p5 wipes were the mt couldn't see the nether vapor which took him down to like 10k health, pretty sure they fixed that bug since then though

I was reading a thread on the wow forums about your favorite in game quote. Someone said "I like when kael says I'll turn your world upside down in magisters terrace"

I had the worst luck last night in that fight till the last attempt. Our first pull(my first attempt) I didnt realize how much the agro sucked on the chick and pulled from blotter and died with one shadowbolt crit. Then a couple of attempts in, I was standing next to the fear guy when phase 3 started and the axe dude gazed on me when he feared. Dead. Then phase 3 again I am dpsing axe dude when the kiter who is pretty close to me dies, he turns and 1 shots me. I hate the axe guy :\ I made up for though last attempt by kicking ass.
