Assuming gear and level are non-issues and players of equal skill, what always beats what?

Given equal gear and skill, I honestly dont think a mage has any way to beat a sl/sl lock

Assuming level 70s.

Mage > Warrior
Rogue > Warlock
Priest > Paladin

Warlock > Mage
Hunter > Mage
Warrior > Rogue

Mage > Rogue
Mage > Paladin
Priest > Mage

(play mage =P)

Spec is important too. I can beat a rogue as a BM hunter, but not as a marks/surv.

By the way, I also can't imagine losing to any class 1v1 as a rogue except to a good warrior and a BM hunter?

I was going to post this myself, I usually lose to rogues but I do beat them as well once I pop tbw and get in range or if I'm lucky enough that track hidden works.

Track hidden pretty much always works. It's a matter of your latency and how fast you spam pet attack to bring him out hehe.

as a druid i disagree with druid vs mage... druids rape mages sideways. thats as resto though, resto beats everyone (11/11/39 or dreamstate) :)

eh, rogues are pretty easy to beat as a frost mage, I'd think beating an arms warrior would be harder

that changes in the rogues favor when both players are highly and equally skilled... noob frost mages can easily beat noob rogues though.

i can beat BM hunters as a shstep rogue. pop a rupture & sprint/vanish to wait out the BW if needed; most other times, you can just evasion/ghostly strike tank them through BW.

resto druids & good resto shammies are a bitch though.

As a shadowpriest I have very little issues killing anything but (good) Rogues, Enhance Shaman, BM hunters and disc priests. That says spriests die to druids but I don't think I've ever lost to one that I can recall.

Warlocks, mages and non-bm hunters depends on what I'm wearing and who gets the jump. Most classes and specs don't stand a chance vs a shadowpriest if I get the jump, any more than 1 blackout proc and it's GG (4-7k dmg in 1.5 seconds if cd's are up).

Priest undeniable rape the shit out of paladins, even if they don't spec into manaburn. A paladin without mana is nothing, and a paladin without a bubble is nothing, and priests can take care of both those things.
