I rule. 2k in mostly S1 gear with a sunfury.

I suppose, if I had a good 5s team, I'd still enjoy it. But, 2s are way too much about comps.

We don't even try anymore. We lost to a druid/warr the other day (which never happened when we were on our way to 2k). Lost 15 points. Then proceeded to beat a rogue/priest and gain 25 pts :lol:.

No you moron, I made it to 2k in shitty gear, with almost no experience in it.

If you can learn to read, you'd have read that the whole point I was making is that 2s, unless you're a seriously competitive WoW pvp'er (ROFL), you can make the ratings easily based on comps alone. See, example of gaining 25 points on a 2100-2200+ team while losing to a different comp.

The fact that you take WoW PvP seriously, and call yourself a PvPer, and laugh at PvEers constantly in WoW shows what a scrub you are when it comes to PvP in general.

Hitting 2k as a Hunter in S1 is no small feat.

WoW PvP is a joke. Most MMO PvP these days is a joke. Pre-Trammel UO was a good system, DAoC was good, Shadowbane was great (really sorry I missed it during its prime) and EQ1 on Rallos Zek was decent. However, FPS PvP is better in almost every way. Balanced teams/maps/gear, item looting and no grinds/timesinks required.

Theres a lot of bad hunters, theres a lot of great hunters. Hunters have the tools to dominate in arena but most of them are just terrible.

No Tony, you're still not reading what I said. I didn't quit arena because "omg, I AM LOSING SO MANY MATCHES NOW."

I quit arena because it's boring. At the 2k+ level, it's MORE about comps than it is about skill, gear, and coordination. At that level, you know the players are good, the gear is similar, and they've seen just about every comp. Like I said, we can lose to a team our level and immediately beat another team (in this case, priest/rogue) at the 2200+ level for 25 points. THAT is where the problem is. I'm not bragging about 2k. I stated I did it easily. I also stated my reason for walking away, but you read it wrong and you took it wrong.

People are trying to point that out to you, btw.

Getting higher rated is about playing a lot of games, so you get chains of wins, and stop when you meet a comp that's not in favor of you. Then start it again at a later time, go for as many wins, then stop again when you come across a comp that's queueing that's not in favor of you. So on and so forth, then completely stop to get a title later on. To me, that's not what PvP is about, and it's not fun. THIS is why I stopped.

Again, I'm talking about 2s and 3s, and I've yet to experiment with 5s because I can't get a consistent group of 5 players anymore.

In case you haven't noticed Tony, I never really laugh at PvP'ers or PvE'ers. People do what they do to enjoy the game. I've pvp'ed on a high level in WoW (2k+) as well as in Shadowbane (#1 pvp guild on server at the time). I've PvE'ed with natural and The Core, a world ranked guild. I really don't have any bias against PvE OR PvP. I'm sharing my experiences in terms of PvP, the fact that I got there with crap gear is just my basis of backing up my point. When I said "I rule" it was purely a joke, and I put it into perspective with the rest of my post. The whole idea is that WoW PvP isn't "HARD". It's about group makeup in 2s and 3s, and that's really not what PvP should be about.

This reasoning doesn't make sense either. Judging by those statistics, there's a LOT MORE warriors than hunters. There would be an equally larger number of "scrub" warriors, then.

Every class has the tools to dominate arena AGAINST A PARTICULAR COMP.

And that's really the point.

I really don't feel like typing out everything that's wrong about Hunters in Arena, but Tony, it doesn't seem like you know anything about it.
