Patch 2.4.2 notesCalder 04-28-2008, 09:46 AM mages died with resilience, this is old news Yea, the inability to kill somebody instantly out of a polymorph KILLED mages. JustinCase 04-28-2008, 09:55 AM yes? the entire idea behind mage pvp is crits from shatter combos (because frost is the only pvp spec) You have a limited number of frost roots in any given fight and if someone has 400 resil, they aren't going to hit for shit. its really pretty simple The Pumpkin King 04-28-2008, 10:58 AM Mages do more damage than warlocks Mages are generally harder to kill than warlocks I'm not going to spend even 5 minutes typing out a post about why you're wrong. hahaha. Dude, I think you're playing Shadowbane. TonyElTigre 04-28-2008, 12:52 PM Calder is the new Feannag SonGohan 04-28-2008, 01:20 PM I do feel sorry for my mage friend when I play a rogue. JohnnyX 04-28-2008, 02:06 PM Yea, the inability to kill somebody instantly out of a polymorph KILLED mages. It did because there is no alternative. We have long cast, hard hitting bolts, and can be LoS'ed on all our primary damage spells, and even on our CC. Rogues and Warriors can at least put out high, sustained damage. Due to their class mechanics, they can at least last a whole fight. Hunters were the other class hurt most by resilience, having a limited mana pool, but they have been getting significant buffs every patch (MS aimed shot, dispel on arcane shot, and now a 30 yard istnat scare beast to wreck druids). Mages on the other hand have gotten token buffs, decreasing the cost of abilities from ridiculous 600 mana to the just expensive cost of 400 mana. It didn't really matter all that much because two of the abilities are very situational (41 pt talent -- slow, and spellsteal), and the other one is on a 15 second cooldown. It seems blizzard is just fumbling around, they kind of refuse to accept that frost is the only viable mage PvP spec and improve the PvP items in that. They keep buffing small things deep in arcane and fire as if they are going to somehow be viable PvP with a few fixes. With Rogues, they would just take on new effects to old abilities, I mean look at shadowstep it has like 3 effects on one 30 second cooldown. Mages still have a wand specialization for god's sake. godswill 04-28-2008, 02:52 PM Calder is the new Feannag  i was thinking the same thing JustinCase 04-28-2008, 03:08 PM johnny basically hit the nail on the head Calder 04-28-2008, 04:34 PM I'm the opposite of Feannag. You all realize that Feannag is a retard because he posts stupid shit. You are all too bad at WoW to understand why you're bad, so what I post seems stupid. Maybe one day you'll break the 1600s and see the light. godswill 04-28-2008, 04:54 PM So you are saying because you broke 1600 in the arena you are "good" at wow? I'm fairly certain there is more than one way to be "good" at wow.. PessimiStick 04-28-2008, 04:55 PM So you are saying because you broke 1600 in the arena you are "good" at wow? I'm fairly certain there is more than one way to be "good" at wow.. Your reading comprehension leaves quite a bit to be desired... Calder 04-28-2008, 04:56 PM Yea that 1600 barrier had me stuck forever, it was the hardest feat I've ever accomplished in my online gaming career. godswill 04-28-2008, 04:58 PM I'm the opposite of Feannag. He's saying that everyone sucks at WoW because they can't play well in the arena.. while apparently he is a god.. It's a pretty shitty generalization to call every player crappy because they dont' do well at the arena.. JustinCase 04-28-2008, 05:32 PM luckily there are many things to do in wow that don't involve arena godswill 04-28-2008, 05:36 PM Exactly.. Take, for instance, my ability to skin mobs .. I can safely say I'm the best at it and you're all pieces of shit because you don't skin properly. Calder 04-28-2008, 06:10 PM Luckily for you none of them involve skill  JustinCase 04-28-2008, 06:31 PM k Calder 04-28-2008, 06:43 PM 2222222222 PVE IS HARD 222222222 GeneralHell 04-28-2008, 06:47 PM Mages do suck currently. It takes a very skilled person to play one well in arenas. A couple of friends of mine did 2s ice mage/MM hunter on a new 2s team just to get points and they ended up getting close to 1600. It's not impossible but it isn't easy either. BTW, the mage has full .5 arena gear... Familiar 04-28-2008, 06:47 PM 2222222222 PVE IS HARD 222222222 what internet monster are you on again? | ||
