Hello,
What's the best way to clean the lungs out from smoking pot/cigs. I am quitting and I want to be able to breathe more oxygen.

The lungs will heal on their own over time as you cough the shit up. If you want to breathe easier, you can work to increase your overall cardiopulmonary fitness by exercising aerobically (80% maximum heart rate, running is good) 30-45 minutes at least 3x a week.

he probably shouldn't start with a normal introductory running program because his lung function is compromised.

But yes, you're lungs should mostly recover over a period of years. (and even after just 6 months you'll notice significant improvement).

What they are saying is true, after 1 year and 5 months smoke free i feel awesome..But it takes time, Hell i still hack stuff up after a hard run or cardio.
Stay strong and good luck.

it took mine about 3 months to recover after 15 years of smoking. Between a half and full pack a day.

After the first week though, you'll notice a difference. You'll be hacking up shit that makes you want to vomit but then you'll stop coughing and life will be good.

You're body will take care of itself as long as its not to far gone.

Yeah. If you do some serious cardio your lungs are going to be sore afterwards regardless of if you smoke.
