I crush S3 teams with my 12" cock.

you fight s3 teams from 1500 up, at least in my group
Everyone has some S3...I don't start seeing shoulders until 1600 though in mine.

1500-1600 most people have most of S3 and probably a weapon.

If you play at certain times of the day on my battlegroup, you can fight S3 teams at 1300+. Had a few where we were so poorly matched that we didn't even get a rating change for losing.

If you can't get above 1600, you're garbage.

Even if I believe the arena system is retarded and that they could do a lot to balance the game more, and that world PvP should be more prominent, there's no way in hell you can justify getting below a 1600 rating unless you flat out suck. Even a shitty combo can get 1600 if you know what you're doing even remotely.

Hell, I'd even say 1850 is really not a hard rating to achieve...you would at least probably need a somewhat intelligent combo true, but still...you don't start fighting real teams until 2k.

And the point selling shit doesn't matter. Full season 3 doesn't mean a damn thing unless you're wearing blues and 8k health, in which case that's your own damn fault for not grinding some honor before starting to arena. Before I had a lot of gear (last season and early this season shortly after reactivating my account), I'd run into those kind of teams on 2v2 a lot, and we'd beat them with my fucking gorehowl and my shaman in kara gear and blues.

Yeah it's annoying when you are trying to help your priest friend who just hit 70 and wants to start saving arena points for next season and at 1600 you run into a full s3 warrior who 2 shots him, but I don't think it's as much of a brick wall as you are saying it is...I've gone pretty far with some crappy ass geared people against some of these point sellers...it doesn't justify 1600.

Now if you play 10 games a week in PvE gear and don't really give a shit or attempt to improve...i guess I can see a sub 1600 rating being feasible, but that's even a stretch imo.

Maybe you see the kind of bullshit you're talking about all the time in your server. Maybe you see it all at 3-7pm server time when you've gotten out of class and are playing against shitty highschoolers that at myspacing while on the phone and eating pizza that matches the one on their face. Sure I believe all you're saying. But not everyone can play at the same hours all the time.

I play with a 5s team and a 2s team made up of RL friends who unfortunately have shitty work/life schedules like myself. You should try playing at 1-3am sometime. Highest we've gotten is exactly 1800 during S2. I dunno WTF happened that now we bounce between 1400s and 1600s all because we get matched with 1900+ teams who just happend to be fully S3 geared except for that one odd pally with kara blues. Hmmm... odd.

Anyway, point is the arena system is fucked overall but completely defunct during shitty times. And saying people suck because of it either means paragraph 1 or it means you're a point seller.

Ths problem here is both time and activity. The system will usually try to match same rating/gear to allow for a fair fight. But if you try doing that at off peak hours you know it is long queues. So what can you do? Open up the pool to any available team, and that cuts down the queue times. Problem is by doing that you open yourself up to be hit by higher rated teams who will most likely just use for for easy ratings. So the only real way of getting more even teams is playing during peak hours, which are usually 6pm - 12am server time. And if your realm time is different from your own RL time you may have even more problems trying to get in at peak time.

tbh I'd rather wait 10 minutes in line to play an even match than wait 20secs to lose one before it even starts.

I went below 1500 once

I just hit 70 on a rogue right as a friend (ELEMENTAL SHAMAN) hit 70 and we played 2s for shits

He got moonfire spammed to death by a decked moonkin by the time he cast twice

:(

We hit 1750 the next week though, it was embarassing though

Especially since I was used to steamrolling kids at 2200

On Nightfall in the middle of the day, even match-up = 1+ hours. Any match-up = 30 seconds.

What, you expect teams in the 1200 bracket to be queuing up all the time?

Of course you have to go up to the 1500's every once in a while

Cyclone seems friendlier to all queue times it seems... no matter what the time.

A friend and I played 11pm on a Monday in 2's, with <1 que times, rocking it up to 1745 from 1500. Rogue/Warlock combo of justice.

When did they rape the DR for the sap/sheep? Used to run Mage/Rogue but it is making it hard.

Was a while ago I think. I've seen with sap if you sap the same target twice and 60 seconds don't pass between the first and the second the second sap is like 3 - 5 seconds or something like that. I noticed that while CC'ing people in EotS, not sure how it works with the other CCs.

You fail to realize that in some battlegroups, everything from 1500 to possibly 1700 is dominated by point sellers. They have all the S3/Vind gear, the best enchants, and the EZ-mode team setups because that's what they do. They're strictly in the business of making/selling high-rating teams, so they know how to dominate/crush everyone in the lower brackets so they can continue on with their business.

No. I can tell you that it's late enough in the season that even baddies have 4/5 S3. I point sell on 5 or 6 teams and sell PR once in awhile in 2s and I can tell you that pretty much everyone is "decked out" and probably starting to build points towards cap. And if they don't have "the best enchants" (aka the correct enchants if you aren't an idiot) then that's their problem.

It must be nice assuming everyone's on your boat. Some of us don't have S1/Vind 70s ready to roll at the start of season much less having 5/5 S2 with S2 weapons at the start of season three. Some of us don't plan on logging in for X hours a week to PvP, and some of us get to 70/get S1/vind in the middle of a season. Even with any of my new 70s there's no way I'll have the time to get all S1/vind much less saving mats/gold for enchants much less getting S3. And some of us are unwilling or incapable of spending the time to do so.

Even if you give the over-inflated 9,000,000 subscribers and make it a more realistic 6,000,000 to 7,000,000 worldwide active players not everyone will be in that boat.
