Hey Tribalwar,
Anyone here every dealt with turf toe? I play a football game and 2 soccer games a week on turf at my school, and it is savaging my legs/feet. My right big toe joint is especially sore - anyone know strategies for prevention/healing (other than, obviously, just staying off it..which would suck)
Thanks!

I had it during my freshman football season back in high school.
If you really have turf toe, you're going to need to rest it. There isn't much else you can do. So much of your body's weight is on your big toe. Combine that with fast cuts and you're screwed.

I found out that when I bought new soccer cleats, mine went away. My old ones were about 10 years old and worn out, they didn't support my feet at all. When i purchased my new ones, all my pain went away.

That could be it, my cleats are 2.5 years old but probably used 3-4 days a week during fall, spring and summer
