TF2 xbox, ps3 vs pc players?

This may seem like a dumb question...

but do xbox players, ps3 players, etc compete with PC users via steam? I always wonder if I'm playing against console players when I am in my favorite servers. I want to introduce my friends to tf2 but some of them are console only guys (and girls).

Nope, they use their own servers. Not many people play on console from what I've heard.

I heard the same thing. I'm sure the official excuse is it would require too much programming/coding to make the consoles work with Windows/MAC network code for it to be be feasible or something along those lines. But I think they're afraid the console people would be too butt-hurt by the PC gamers with mice and they'd lose more of their audience from the consoles.
