hello i'm main tank for a guild just trying to clear kara now. i want to know if any of u have possible tips, changes, or suggestions on what i can do and where i can go to get better eguipped .

well i chose a caster weapon since as a tankadin i use my spells to gain hate anyway, i thought it would be better for that reason , and i act pop lots of mad alchemists pots for both the mana and health gains. as for trinket i plan to replce with the new tanking stone from exalted shattered sun.

your weapon is fine, regem shit to 12 stam gems

490 is defense cap.

get tp 490 DEF and go stam everywhere else. and fix ur spec

For one, this is the first time since people first hit 60 on initial release see someone try to fill out an entire talent tree. Secondly, how can you do that and NOT take Precision? Hitting = damage = threat, and it's so low in the tree it's silly not to pick up.

You don't need Reckoning, Guardian's Favor or Improved Devotion Aura for tanking. You're better off putting those points into Precision, Benediction and Deflection.

pallys build threat from spells, not physical dmg

It is. Pally tanking relies on doling out Holy damage, with seals your melee attacks deal holy damage as well. Reckoning procs, more swings = more hits. And more hits = more damage which also = more threat. It's also the reason most pally tanks take sub-2.00 weapons. At that speed you can get all the reckoning strikes in before it goes away, anything heavier and you lose the extra swings.

The issue with reckoning is that once you get yourself geared up it procs less and less. As a result, you'll see pally tanks gear up through 5 mans with it and it quite often gets dropped from their talents once they get geared and raid more.

i don't know when i tank i ussually have 2-3 mobs on me even in heriocs and it procs alot. also i took the gem advise so i now have 510 defense rating(with no defense gems) and a little over 13 k health unbuffed.
