There are 36 new medic achievements, so getting 12 achievements will unlock "The Blutsauger", a new syringe gun that drains health from an enemy when it hits them. Valve says that this is useful for the medic if he's trying to retreat from an advancing foe, since the medic can stay alive longer while killing the opponent.
The next new item, "The Critzcrieg", unlocks once you get 24 medic achievements. This is a new type of medigun. Unlike the original medigun, which can ubercharge an ally (basically make them invulnerable for a short period of the time), the Critzcrieg will boost the ally's chance of making a critical hit. So if a medic with the Critzcrieg charges an ally soldier, the soldier's rockets will inflict critical damage if they hit.
Finally, if you manage to get all 36 medic achievements, you'll unlock "The Ubersaw", which absorbs damage being done by melee assaults and transforms it into an ubercharge. Valve says four hits with the Ubersaw will ubercharge any medigun the medic has. So instead of having to sit there and wait for a minute to ubercharge a medic gun, whip out your Ubersaw, melee an enemy four times, and you've got an instantly charged medigun.
scandal 04-16-2008, 02:40 PM If we cooperated, we can get these achievements pretty fast.
Ex: You'll Feel A Little Prick: Assist in killing 4 enemies with single uber-charge on a scout.
Have one team with medic and scout and have the other team line up. medic/scout ubers, gets four kills, and we switch the teams up so that the next guy can get the achievement.
It's lame, but if all you care about is getting those weapons, i think that would be the fastest way.
g0ds gReeN 04-16-2008, 02:44 PM seriously, this is the first of should be many kicks in the ass i need to get back into tf2.
Father Ruckus 04-16-2008, 02:56 PM meh wish they'd release a few other classes at the same time, 16v16 medics is gonna be awesome :(

Watching medics uber heavies so they can try to punch 4 people to death only to fail and try again. Lol.
Fat Chance in Hell: Kill a heavy being healed by a medic by yourself with only your syringe gun while the planets are aligned at 4:27 AM on a Feb 29th.
Does anybody feel this would be out of place? Some of those achievements seem a bit ridiculous.
Feannag 04-16-2008, 06:52 PM Anyone know where a site is that lists other class achievements? I just got back into this game with the new rig and having a blasty. I wish I could Engineer but I don't know the maps well enough yet to know where to put sentries and teleporters. :( I usually just heal-bitch.

other classes achievements? They haven't been done yet. Unless you are talking about a couple of the very basic ones.

I figured they would have put out at least a handful of class-specific ones in addition to the normal ones you see in-game, but I guess not? Ah well, the medic thing is nice for me because that's usually what I do anyway.

I didn't pick up TF2 much on my old rig, but my new one is rocking it pretty well so I'm out of the loop. I was assuming they at least put maybe 3 - 5 class achievements in on launch rather than just throw it in later. I see all the general ones but no class ones. I wonder how it will pan out because when this goes and Medics will have the new weapons and achievements how many people will simply whore Medic or do some "cooperative cheating" to get them all unlocked ASAP.

did you just post a second (different) response to my post? Anyways, the initial release had a handful of class-specific achievements. I think half the classes had 1 class-specific achievement. Nothing has been added since then.

DeaconBlues 04-17-2008, 11:08 PM 10 million healing would take 14 total DAYS of play time if you heal an average of 10,000 every 20 minutes
Do you think cumulative achievements like this will count healing you have already done?
John the Jammer 04-17-2008, 11:26 PM these seem pretty stupid.
I would like to play goldrush though
