Yea well Alliance can't wrap their head around that concept either. In a turtle situtation, whoever is fighting the closest to their graveyard will win due to staggered attacks. It's easy to pick off people when they arrive in ones and twos.

Did some AV's while at work this weekend, went ~3-30...at least I still averaged 1k honor/hr.

If you are in the TW horde guild, then alliance win all the time almost no matter what you do :(

I find that harder to believe because Onyxia is in the Nightfall battlegroup and that is where I station most of my toons. I play on Alliance for now out of Demon Soul and the only time I see us win any BGs at all is when the Horde grouping become total dumbasses. If they have any sort of organization we're pretty much boned.
EotS is when they simply zerg around in a group of 6 around the towers, leave 1 or 2 at their own tower (BET and FRR) and a group of 5 - 6 capping the flag. Alliance always does the "3 Towers to win" strat and against that it never works because some people go for the flag and guarding three towers least us so thinned out it's easy for that tower to just roll any tower and keep runn laps around (or going between BET and DR or MT and DRR respectively).
AB is much the same way, I see they'll assign one group to run defense on two nodes, like the farm and the lumber mill. They leave a lookout at each one, and it seems as soon as you try to roll them inside of 20 seconds you get smashed by a 6 to 7 Horde zerg. With those two "stable" the rest simply zerg around and disrupt our nodes. They don't attempt to hold and take at times, just contest it so we can't get points from it.
WSG is usually a zerg fest. Most often they roll into the flag room with 6 - 7 Horde and worry about getting their own flag back later. And if they don't, the 3 -4 on flag defense are usually comprised of a nice slow/root combination like mages, rogues, hunters and such. Enough movement crippling and DPS to kill you often times before you can leave the flag room.
But on Nightfall, as I have been playing, the only time Alliance can win is if by random chance the Horde pug is completely retarded. And that's usually more of a rarity.
I used to do AV a lot back around the time they changed things so honor gear could be bought for honor points (alliance rogue). I've looked at the changes they've made and it still looks like the tactic I used would still work. Basically the tactic was me beating my scrub buddies to the towers so I could despawn the archers, hehe. There was no real plan after that, we covered our nodes as we went forward (I say 'we' but most of the time I had to yell at people for them to do it) and hit the horde where they were the fewest (FW gy or RH if FW was camped). The IB pass was critical back then too so if they turtled that we had to turtle harder till we could sneak ninjas in...
Also I remember bg chat being very irritating, random idiots complaining about stupid crap... I remember that the bigger a mouth they had the worse they were at actual pvp. In the end, in my opinion, it mostly came down to how many shitty players in shitty gear (Bob McBobby the underleveled back pedaling protection paladin) there were playing for your side versus their side.
I should do it again sometimes, camping towers is great fun as a rogue...
I wish they would make a serious gear set for BGs. I want to play competitively on a large scale again not just stomp on people in full s1. Even if they just made a set of weapons like rank 14 and put back titles, a lot more talent would show up. last time i checked 5 people on each side wasn't a "war".

I'd more wish Blizz would simply take the lessons learned from the debacle that is AV and use it to work on AC (Azshara Crater). Start the BG slate fresh learning from the mistakes of past BGs.

hehe. im not in that battlegroup, but i do the same thing in AB, just contest.
2-man attacking an AB spot with a healer and killing 4, capping, then surviving the respawns = fun
