Did shoulders today, bar military press, machine press etc. On monday I almost completed my goal of doing reps of 100 lbs dumbbells for bench. I did 3x8 at 80, 85, 90 so I don't think 100 is too far off.

you guys do so many lifts

I did 4 sets of 3 reps of deadlifts
and 5 sets of 5 reps of military press
then I tried reverse grip military press to see what muscles it would use for maybe 2 reps
and then I did 4 sets of rotator cuff work

I wish I had a gym closer than 30 minutes away.
I'm thinking about buying a total gym or a bowflex. :)

I FUCKING hate trainers at the gym.
Some fuck head started complaining because i wasnt wearing shoes.
Even if im in the squat rack i cant wear shoes because "its not hygenic".
What the fuck do people do? Lick the floor?
Jesus mother of fuck i am so fucking pissed off.
I wish the trainer would have pushed me or something so i could have fucking drilled his brains in.

it's only because of liabilities. hate "The Man", not the trainer.

Yes and no.
I'm very friendly, sometimes if its closing time, ill stay a bit longer to help them put the weights away. I have no problems with being nice and following the rules (minus one) but it's such a useless rule (more than half of the stuff there is machines...) that i dont see the need to follow it.
However its one guy out of the 4-5 there who complains.
They ve all seen me move, walk and lift with no shoes. Sometimes as long as 2 hours and they NEVER say anything. It's one retarded fag who is the only who complains.

I work at a gym, and I myself squat/deadlift without shoes on but when people are walking around barefoot we are required to say something. I mean you shouldnt be walking around barefoot in the first place and the only time I have my shoes OFF are when im actually doing my reps, i put them back on immedietly.

and yes, its all liability reasons, i.e dropping a weight on your foot and breaking something

I have socks on.
I don't really get the liability thing. I am over 18, i dont see why it would be a problem.

I will make this quick.
The first real squatter i ever saw (concidentally was when i decided to join the gym) squatted 450 with no shoes on.
That kinda stuck with me so i looked into it.
-For one, you feel more grounded and feel like you can properly drive through your heel.
-For two, you use the foot and ankle muscles more.

Here you can read this. You do it without shoes for the same reason it's better to squat than to leg press:

I don't know what kind of flooring you have in your gym, but frankly I would not feel safe in socks with 400+ lbs on my back in my gym. There is not enough grip.
