Gizmo 07-24-2008, 12:18 PM bdave, really any kind of flat, non cross-trainer shoe will work (without the elevated heel). a lot of people just wear some old chucks or go barefoot at my gym too. One of the squat racks has a hard textured rubber mat probably a lot like yours for the barefoot guys. personally I just feel naked and unsafe without shoes on :O

sarbuze 07-31-2008, 08:18 AM I went from 4 days of lifting with cardio 5 days but <30 mins per cardio session (last 6 weeks) to two days lifting (next 6 weeks) and focusing on cardio (45-60 min sessions).
Tuesday:
10 min bike warmup
3 x lunges - 35 lb dumbbells
dumbbell bench- 12 each: 75, 80, 10 x 85 lbs
tricep pull down (3 sets)
3 sets of 30 lb dumbbells stepping on/off elevated platform (15 each leg up is a set)
standing cable flys (3 sets)
3 sets dips (15 per set)
4 x 30 box jumps
alternating close grip/wide grip pushups
front/side planks, some other misc cores stuff
3 mile run (7:30 pace)
Wed:
10 min bike
5.5 mile run (40 mins)
Today (planned):
biceps
back
shoulders
legs
EDIT: cardio- I decided to do 20 mins of HIIT (hill sprints)
