[PvP] Proving Ground Realm

You want "real" PvP? Demon Soul Alliance-side is it. With an activity ratio of anything from 8 : 1 to 12 :1 in favor of Horde, you'll know what real bullshit is. Normal places? Someone ganks someone else, some people in the area join up, some camping ensues, eventually people get back to dailies.

Demon Soul? You're gang-banged 5 to 1 by Horde, and that's not counting the real pricks who will just spend two hours running around Quel'Danas ganking whoever they can find. And if you manage to find enough fellow Alliance to make a group of 2 - 3 and spank some gankers, they'll simply show up a minute later with 7 - 8 friends.

Also, real world pvp is fucking retarded. You hardly ever have even level battles, when you do most of the time you get a mob on you besides the guy you're fighting. Then when you do get ganked and say something about how stupid it is for a lvl 70 to be camping out in a lowbie zone, you get a bunch of retards remarking how it's a PvP server and you should somehow embrace it. Well no shit, I like PvP, but I don't appreciate fighting lvl 70's in Strangelthorn Vale with my full greens lvl 40 priest (who only has half her abilities).

They should just call them what they are. Gank-enabled servers.

:lol: I'm feeling this frustration on my Mage. Yesterday two 70s camped a quest area alongside their level 42 buddy in STV, one-shotting me many times in the process.

Yeah but Demon Soul is as bad as I've seen. Sure there's ganking, that's all well and good. But if the activity ratio is relatively the same, even as far as 1 to 3, it's not hard to round up some other peeps and just gank back or defend yourselves. Demon Soul you simply cannot. At peak hours on Qual'Danas it's just a sea of red. You see maybe one other Alliance, and then you got 15 - 18 Horde. You simply cannot do anything but either sit there and take it, or leave (which I am doing tomorrow). I don't why anyoneon Demon Soul on Alliance stays, and in the realm forums all you hear about is more Alliance moving in.

We just opened up the harbor dailies, good fuckin' luck on that. As soon as I land on the ship after torching the sails I'm jumped by four or five Horde. They literally drive you out into the sea and yo simply have wait for them to be done (which never happens because more Horde just come in to replace those who finish) or get back in their and hope you don't get ganked.

It's so bad the Staging Area, Sanctum, AND Armory were littered with alliance skeletons. They are so numerous not even the guards can stop them all.

I haven't quested in STV since... Maybe '05? If you're Horde it's a lot easier to quest around STV, Alliance have a bit harder time but not impossible. It's much like Tanaris, if you decide you're going to quest there you have to assume ganking. That or you quest on off-peak hours if you can manage it.

I forgot another fun Demon Soul tidbit. You know how people will just raid the Crossroads or Darkshire or Lakeshire or Sun Rock Retreat when they are 70 and bored? Demon Soul Horde don't even do that anymore, they attack Allerian Stronghold, Wildhammer Stronghold, Honor Hold... Kinda sucks when you see 6 - 7 Horde killing guards/NPCs to Outlands towns.
