This is the second time i've had it in a couple months, I tried to do some research but apparently the IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL error can have all sorts of causes, from bad memory to bad drivers.

I'm using a Dell Inspiron E1505 laptop, 1 GIG of ram, windows XP pro (5.1, build 2600). my video card is a nvidia geforce go 7300.

My router is a piece of shit, it's a D-link DI-634M.

I went into control panel -> administrative tools -> event viewer, and I think this is the event log:

Googling the first error code will help give you some info: 100000d1... This is just a couple of links:

[XP] Error code 100000d1... - Virtual Dr Forums-Computer Tech Support (http://discussions.virtualdr.com/showthread.php?t=205012)

Just going from the these and other links it could be a driver problem(need update) or network card going bad... How old is your laptop and have you had a recent history of hardware/software changes or updates or upgrades??

At least all Business Dell's have had Hardware Diagnostic that you can run either by hitting F12 or F10 at boot (Boot menu -> Diagnostic) or by running it from CD/DVD. It usually figures out pretty much all HW problems in Dell's that may be causing BSOD's. If that gives you nothing, then run PC-Check or equal software. If that gives you nothing, reinstall Winblows.

Of course, I have no idea if consumer machines have that Diagnostic, but I don't see a reason why they wouldn't have..

twice in a couple months is more likely than not a driver issue

The laptop is nearing two years... and I've rarely (if ever that I can remember) update my drivers for anything on here.

Thanks, i'll be browsing the links.
