AOE grinding is lots of fun

paly AoE gets old. rounding up the mobs then waiting 5 min for everything to die is borrrrring. I like lock multimob killing so much better. dot dot dot, repeat on 2nd, 3rd, and on 4th mob drain life, loot, darkpact, keep going. so much faster to grind stuff on my lock than it was on my paladin.

uh, 5 minutes? i clean the demon supplicant tier in about 35 seconds.

You forgot to mention when you Prot-Pally AoE you're pretty much shadowpriest food.

In terms of speed, I'm currently leveling a mage and while AOE is very effective in certain situations, it is much, MUCH faster to quest. I have specced frost/AOE and break out the blizzards for large groups of quest-related melee mobs, but I don't run around farming the typical AOE spots. Questing levels you so fast now, I did 1-40 in 2 days /played.

Depends on gear instance run it RFC SFK (when I run SFK I have masterloot on so if the rare ass shadowfang drops its mine goes for around 400-500g on my server) SM if your gear is good enough get him into ZF make sure to kill the scarbs its like 4k extra lol.
Make sure to have 5 people in it you,alt and 3 others apparently so you get the group bonus. 3 druids is nice so their dots keep you topped lol. (charge them too even if its small charge like 50 silver -1g even though some people can pay up to 10g its about leveling you more than profits lol.)

Again depending on what your mana pool is at use rank 1-3 arcane explosion and spam it.

prot pally aoe grinding is great. tanking whole groups of enemies and walking away with full health is fun and fast.

So instead of doing instances for exp, maybe ill follow the new character with the mage and just have him kill everything i need..that sounds pretty effective.

Doggy just 2-man SM Cathedral if you want to power level your alt.

AFAIK tap-leveling has been nerfed (which isn't even what you're talking about; your alt will be getting 10-100xp per mob in instances with your mage killing them versus 80-250xp per mob otherwise). Quest-leveling is so easy now I don't know why anyone would go through the god awful monotony of grinding their way to 70.

the group bonus for 5 people in an instance is very nice. doing normal runs without any 70's yields a ton of xp. a friend and i leveled our paladin and rogue duo with a warlock all though SM, which got us about 5 levels by the time we got everything we wanted in it. from ZF to BRD we used a warrior, and the xp was still very good. all of that usually only us 3, but we would add people from the guild if they asked for the xp bonus.
