i stopped playing before the patch that included the voice chat and stuff.

i play a tauren shaman. before i quit i had just respecced to full resto, but wasnt liking it very much. have shamans remained completely nerfed and unuseful in raids/pvp?

what UI add-ons are the best?...im sure i have to start from scratch again building my UI after two or three patches.

i hear it's pretty easy to get some decent season 1 armor gear pretty easy now due to being able to get points from battlegrounds. confirm/deny?

i dont play a ton, but would like to use this time to grind occasionally for things like my epic flying mount. before i quit, i was in the process of getting the nether ray. should be less crowded to grind that shit out now, right?

when is the expansion being rumored at coming out??

Shamans are really really good in end game raider. Chain Heal is about the best thing in the world for a lot of fights.

Honor is easy to farm, but if I were you I'd buy the Vindicator gear and wait for s2 to become honor purchasable. That's going to happen when s4 starts, will probably be around when people start on Kil'Jaden

I dunno much about shaman pvp, but I know for raids, it can be very nice to have a shaman of each spec for the buffs they provide to their group. IE a group with an ehn. shaman, 2 rogues, feral druid, and dps warrior can put out some amazing dps. same thing with ele shaman and a caster dps group. problem is that there is usually only room for 1 of said specs per raid, and it could be hard to find a spot in a guild if they already have shamans for each role.

Enh shammies are fun for BGs, and good for 5v5 but shit-balls for 2v2 and 3v3. You'll have trouble getting into Pugs, especially for heroics.

That all being said, they are fun as shit. You do crazy dps and smart people will always want you.

I'm not too certain S4 will begin before Lich King, but even if you feel like waiting and you raid a lot you'll be able to turn in T6 tokens for S2 gear once your respective realm gets the Armory back on Quel'Danas. Given how most people are saying, average for when that happens will probably be 1 - 2 weeks or less.

He's wrong. S4 will undeniably happen before WotLK. And the rest of what he said doesn't even apply to anything you asked about.

New content Sunwell Plateau, hit about two weeks ago. You do dailies for the Shatter Sun Offensive faction and they contribute to progress for re-taking parts of the island of Quel'Danas. Most realms have done the Sanctum, and some are done with the Armory. As each part completes, NPCs spawn in to give new dailies and new vendors.

Once the armory completes NPC vendors will spawn in to repair. One will sell new gear for Honor badges once you finish fixing the forge. And one NPC will trade in T6 raid tokesn for Merciless Gladiator gear. Point is if you raid in a higher-end guild and and you want to PvP too you can trade T6 tokens in for either S2 gear or T6.

And fuck you if you're being sarcastic, just trying to help.

Lesson 1: Pay no attention to anything that Feannag posts. It is all incredibly WRONG.

You're right, no NPCs come in when you take the armory. It just spawns in a bunch of scantily clad BE and NE women who do new dance animations with Brewfest-style kegs where you get zone buffs for getting drunk. And certain WoW Wiki (http://www.wowwiki.com/Shattered_Sun_Offensive) wouldn't be on top of any of that...

As for S4 before Lich King, there is a compelling logic to that. When TBC released, it seems each tier of raiding gear was on par with each season of arena gear. Not exactly on par in terms of stats, but they seemed to go hand in hand. With the whole debacle over welfare epics, Blizzard had a growing problem. How to appease both raiders and gladiators without looking like they favor one over the other.

They didn't release a new tier with the Sunwell, but rather augmented the present 6th tier set with 8 pieces instead of 5. If they release a new season of gear before they release another tier of raiding gear, then raiders will whine and complain they're outclassed, etc.

Maybe they'll augment S3, but I don't think they'll release full S4 before they are ready to throw in T7 to boot.

Easy to do now, they upped the daily quest limit cap from 10 to 25. So if you need to grind for cash they are easy to do, net 7g - 10g a pop. Usually it's 9g - 10g for the SSO dailies, and a little less for things like cooking and fishing. They added Halaa and Auch Spirit Tower dailies which give coin and honor too.

They also added a "Blue Gladiator" set as well. They're identical to S1 in terms of proportions of stats, but scaled down to blue item level. They are usually 8g to 11g a piece but you need to be Honored with HH/Thrallmar, Keepers of time, CE, Sha'tar, and Lower City to get it.

Biggest problem with the new patch is honor-grinding on AV has gotten slower and worse.

This is false.

The blue set is not equal to s1, the blue gear is actually more like Grand Marshall Gear reskinned.

My guess is the idea was more to give PvEr's a base set they can easily get without getting totally pwnd in the face with 0 resil in Bgs to make their pvp grinds perhaps more bearable.

S1 is superior to the blue gear, don't be a fool.

As for s4, they already have many of the new items on the test realm, if they wait till WOTLK it would be quite a while, and also lvl 70 will probably mean jack shit once the cap moves to 80.

I've read a lot of ur posts Feannag, and while it's a nice gesture to try and offer your opinions as help, you should really know what you are talking about before you post, otherwise don't post, imo.
