You could lose 30 lbs by doing that, but you would gain it all back once you quit.

The best way to lose weight, and keep it off, is to work out, eat right, and adjust your habits into a healthier lifestyle.

That's about all I can tell ya.

do compound lifts 3 times a week ( lifting big helps burn fat in ways that cardio can't even begin to scratch. Not only do you burn a TON of cals by doing big compound heavy lifting, but once you start to put on some muscle your metabolism goes up because those muscles need constant feeding)

do cardio twice a week ( the days you arn't lifting you don't want to be a sloth so get out there and do some cardio, it will get your metabolism cranking and you should feel pretty damn good after you're done)

eat about 300 cals less than your body needs to maintain every day (if you eat what you are eating now, you wont lose weight and you might still be gaining. If you barely eat anything your body will go into starvation mode and hold on to as much fat as it can. a 300 cal drop from maintenance level is just enough to shed the pounds without shocking your body)

profit.

is there such thing as working out too much? like doing 4-5 hours of cardio every day, plus heavy lifting 5 days a week?

if you are eating a 1500--2000 cal diet, will this still be healthy?

who in the world can do 4-5 hours of cardio every day on top of lifting 5 days a week?

if someone could sustain that you'd have to be eating ~4000 cals if not more just to stay alive.

There's no short term way of losing weight and keeping it off. You have to commit to exercising and staying in shape for the rest of your life.

Unless you wanted to get cut before going to the beach, but I don't think that's the goal.
