What do you guys think about trying to set up discussions in #collective, maybe like a weekly, monthly, or just whenever the fuck we feel like it thing?

One or two guys who know their shit could "run" the discussion and explain stuff and answer everyone's questions? We could set it up ahead of time on the boards to try to figure out a time where the most people could participle, and even if people miss it we can just post the logs afterward.

We did this a little while ago with Alekhine giving a little talk on the very basics of theory and it worked out great...though you'd have to be up for a loooong convo, if you wanted to stay for the whole thing. (and again if not there's logs)

If you're the one running it...the thought that you're improving fellow musicians for HONOR AND GLORY and to keep REAL music alive and all that epic inspiring stuff.

If you're there learning...uh...what do you think is in it for you?

More like GOGOGADGET AMPHETAMINES.

But 4realz, this is a solid idea. Some people on the board know a TON of useful info.

I'm not e-cool enough to know how to use IRC but this is almost certainly a very very good idea.
