Why do I do it to myself...

Started playing again. Turned $30 sitting in my PokerStars account into $800 in 4 days. $240 of that was bonuses I still had left over from '06 reloads, the rest was putting about 10k hands in at .25/.50 and .50/1 limit. About 5BB/100 for anyone keeping track. God damn does it stress me out though. But I keep running numbers through my head. Could put $xxx more down on a place, could buy a nice TV, etc.

Full Tilt, 27% rakeback, $600 bonus. I can't withdraw from PokerStars to epassporte, I can only do a check apparently. Is there no way around that? I can do the echeck thing I guess, but they want my fucking SSN# and I'm sick of giving that away to these sites. I could make $1000-1500 rakeback a month easily while doing 2/4 6max on FTP once I have the roll, and 10 hours a week. And I'm a 3.5BB/100 career player at that limit. $40ish an hour. It's sick. I'd keep my full time job of course, and I could potentially have the roll for 30/60 before I know it. le sigh /end post

ixi,

stop playing limit and start playing nl

if you could learn to beat 1/2nl you can clear 100k a year with enough volume (way higher hourly rate too)

But I'm one of the best low-limit players out there. :/ Not trying to be egotistical, but it's the truth. I used to post numbers on a limit message board, and I'd get tons of responses like "there's no way those are statistically significant, it won't hold up" except I had 500k+ hands saying it did. I'm guessing my poker aptitude will carry over to NL to some degree, but it would suck having to put in that much time again to get to the level I'm at with limit.

I never did anything but a few thousand hands at $5/$10 and $10/$20 limit, so I don't know what kind of earn rate I could expect there, but I think 5/10 is approx. the same kinda pot size range as 1/2NL, though 1/2NL may be a lot softer. I dunno.

Is it easy to 4-table 1/2NL? What's the stress level like at NL? Obviously you don't get sucked out on as much, but when you do it's for a lot more money.

Up to $1,100 on pstars btw. ;)

Just got back from Vegas. Made about $1,500 playing 1/2 at the Imperial Palace holla. In five trips to Vegas since I've turned 21 I've never lost. I broke even once, won $200 once (both these two times I was being distracted by my GF), and the last 3 times I've won about $1,500. I'm happy. The only thing that angers me is that Casinos don't track poker so you can't get free rooms in shit.

My best hand was me flopping a straight flush and the guy trying to bluff me with AhKh, on 4 club board. Stacked him and scooped another $250 for hitting a high hand. Folded what would've been quad nines pf yesterday though, I'm still angry.

100bbs? 1 buyin? lol

I just went though my first losing month of Poker since November 2006. I'm down 24 buyins over the month. My role took some major heat. Luckily I have good BR management.

It's limit stooge. :p: Big Bets not Big Blinds. I'm proud of myself though, it was the worst night since I started playing again (even though I was up like $150 in the first half hour), but I didn't get pissed off. I tilted a little by calling shit down that I shouldn't have, but nothing serious.

Had another bad day at 1/2, lost 80BBs, down 185BB overall. Decided to take a shot at my old home 2/4 later on, won 100BB back there, so up more than I lost at 1/2. Was just playing 1 table, won $400 at it over a couple of hours. :)

How fricken long does epassporte take to do a bank wire? I did it monday or something, it said it'd be ready by wednesday, and I'm still waiting.

How can you only play 1 table? I would fall asleep. I do 4-6 fast tables and play fairly tight/aggressive.

Because it had been 2 years since I played 2/4 and my bankroll was not exactly what I'd call comfortable. As I said in the last post, I am 4-tabling 2/4 6max again and killing people just like old times. Although I'm loose aggressive not tight aggressive.
