so i was reading up on dieting etc cause im trying to eat healthier and lose weight and all that good stuff, and i saw that skipping meals is actually worse in the long run because it a.) slows down your metabolism and b.) makesy our body store unnecesary fats

i was just wondering if this is true, and if it is, how many calories should i be consuming per meal? usually i sleep in til about 1 or 2 since its spring break, compeltely skipping breakfast, and usually just eat lunch when i wakeup and dinner 5 or 6 hours later.

what should i do different? about how many calories should i have for breakfast, lunch, and dinner? im ~173, 6'0, 16 years old.

thanks.

your biggest mistake is counting calories, that is all relative.

Skipping meals will cause you to gain weight, try and eat 6 small meals a day. Eat easy to digest carbohydrates such as whole wheat breads and whole wheat pasta, apples shit like that.

The trick to losing fat is to lift weights, muscle burns fat. There are tons of books on it, if you want something explained to you very simply and not from a dr. or personal trainer, buy "Body for Life" but that's a book about how to change your life around from being a tubby etc. etc.
