For $450, used obviously.

I'm thinking about making the purchase. I currently have a 300 watt solid state head (running through a 4x10" and a 1x15", but with the price of the cab being so low, I can invest in a tube head this summer with my internship monie$.

I think I'm gona get this, I just have to drive an hour and forty five minutes to pick it up. Worth it, though.

Thoughts, TeeDub??

My first thought:

Have you ever tried to lug an 8x10 cab up a flight of stairs? Ever? Once you do, you will know the answer as to whether or not you need one. Same goes for 4x10s, 4x12s, and 2x15s.

For a recording studio: Jump on that shit.

Haha, yeah. That's the only downfall. I lug my 4x10's and 15 up and down stairs all the time. It's not too bad. However, my 4x10's weigh about 100 lbs, where as this will weigh approx 160 and will be much more awkward to carry.

It won't be moved too much since we'll use it to record now, but it will (luckily) be transported in a covered trailer when we play shows, which will be an easy in and out job, except for the stairs part ;).

Original speakers?
I saw one in which the guy substituted real cheap speakers for the OEM JBLs.
