I feel like im wasting time working biceps

I can't bring myself to do bicep iso exercises. Its such a waste of frigging time in my opinion...I do a shit ton of chin ups/pull ups, but those are compounds. I MAY do barbell curls occasionally but only if my work out partner wants to do them. I train for strength and to compound lift till I wanna puke. But its all these noobs in the gym do....curls.

Does anyone else not really bother with bis?

The only time I ever throw in bis are if i stop making gains in pullups/rows. If you are doing pullups and rows your bis are going to grow. You don't really need to do isolations period unless you stop making gains and know its because of 1 or 2 muscles.

I do rows and chins for my biceps. I used to kill myself on the curls on Saturdays (was my vanity muscle day) and never really got anywhere. Someone said to me, you want big arms? Keep working rows til you can do 225.

I figured that was true, but I still do some preacher and hammer curls one day a week.

i still do biceps, who doesn't want bigger biceps? It is hard to work them in with back exercises though, do them before and you can't work your back as hard, do them after and they are already exhausted

I end either my shoulders or chest day with biceps. why? because to me it's a "baywatch" lift for looking good on the beach. If I don't have tons of energy to go as hard as I might other exercises, no big deal.

that they already got a good workout from the back excersizes?

Sure, but if they were 'done' I wouldn't have been able to finish those back exercises.

I toss in a few 21s one day a week for good measure.

I like dumbbell curls for wrist, forearm, and grip strength as much as anything.

I like reverse curls.

And I end back and biceps with curls. But I start with pullups/chinups and rows.

I do biceps twice a week, but I do them on back days, after rows, just to over-exhaust them.

I do mine on back days after back. I usually do either barbell curls or EZ bar curls then one arm curls and thats it.

Bent over rows and pull ups will hit them pretty good anyway but I always like to go to failure on them.

Pull ups, chin ups, ring pull ups, and muscle ups are just about all I have done for biceps since November.

For biceps I do preacher curls, a workout I learned in high school called 21 Machine Gun, and just regular curls. I only work them out one day a week in isolation, but I'm sure they still get work when I do my back day doing rows and the like.
