Cliffs in form of ratings at the bottom.

Well where do I start.

First ten minutes I was going WTF is going on here... I was so lost, the controls felt very wierd, the sprinting is a lot like GoW, where as you are sprinting its very hard to turn.

Takes tons of bullets to kill people, unless you get a headshot.

There is 5 "classes" typical BF2 style although you have them a bit different then bf2, example: Support is both engineer and medic, Assault is assault, You have a Anti Vehicle kit, Sniper kit, silenced C4 style kit.

Very dark, very hard to see who you are firing at (both a bonus and a negative)

Now on to the good things:

Fast fucking paced, RB6V2 bores me. After playing for 20-30 minutes I feel like yawning and falling asleep. Terrorist hunt was fun for the first couple of days but now I could care less if I played or not. This game? I didn't want to put it down and its only one map in the beta.

Fast, fast fast.

Everything in this game blows up. EVERYTHING. Tree's, Fences, Houses, Walls.. Someone hiding behind a wall sniping and can't get a good angle? So fucking what... get an RPG and Blow the fucking side of the wall out. It doesn't just take one shot, but you can pretty much demolish a whole "upstairs" of a 2 story building to where only the frame is up with a couple of people firing away at it in under 30 seconds.

The map you play on is pretty freakin cool. Really dark, but there is houses, hills, fences, trees, did I mention you can blow them all up? There is Stationary 50cal positions, which yes, you can blow up. Sniper perches, roads, etc.

Concept is pretty cool. You have these gold crates, I think there is 3 or so on this map. Defending team wants to keep the gold, Attackers want to blow it up. Its search and destroy, only instead of having to only blow one of the crates up, you have to blow up all 3.

There was 0 lag, even with the servers being slammed and the game crashing when trying to find games (all the lag is in finding a host, once in its crystal) once you are in game, no shooting a dood 50 times and having him turn around and blot you once and you fall over like a big oak.

By the end of the 2 hours I played, I was in the top 3 every map because I played the game less like rambo (which I played like in the first hour lol) and more tactical... because most other people play run and gun it was easy to pick them off. Hiding isn't going to help you in this game, sure you can camp, but pretty soon someone is going to blow up the wall you are camping behind and take you with it.

Graphics 9/10 - Explosions are fucking insane, enviornment is cool as hell because I don't think I said this, but it all can be blown up. Only reason not 10/10 is because it was too fucking dark.

Gameplay 8/10 - Very fast paced, very fun. Only downside is how many bullets it can take to kill someone.

Controls 9/10 - Good setup, once you figure out what each button does

Movement/Feel 5/10, once you get used to it 7/10. - CoD4 has the most fluid feel to it I have ever experienced. I would rate Rainbow 6 vegas 2 a 4/10 even being used to it. So this is between the two.

Overall, this is going to be something I buy. I am not sure how well I will like it in comp play, where as I think rainbow 6 would be perfect for match play, this might be one of those games where you have to have tons of people in the server for it to be fun, I really don't know because there was never an unfull server I played on.

I may rent this game to see what its like, but Ive never been a Battlefield fan. The only thing that sounds cool from everything Ive read, is the environment and being able to blow stuff up.

I played multiplayer all night last night on RB6. Fun shit.

Ive gotten better with this. I will pop an M203 into someone then switch to the gun w/ assault pack. Sniper is nice too.

Headshots are easy as hell once you get the aim down with them. Also range seems to have a large factor in how many hits it takes to kill someone.

From any sort of range if I don't burst fire it seems like I can't kill anyone, then once I get up close just start pumping the trigger its much easier. I have yet to find an iron site I really like though which sucks. Not that it matters, I spend half my time shooting rockets into windows and watching the compression explode through all the other windows on that floor lol

CoD4 was arcade wasnt it? Im probably going to get it now though. Talked to a couple rl friends that have the beta. Theyve had nothing but good things to say about it, other than it taking a mag to kill people. Wont matter to me though, Im a heli vet. Going to try and go over to my buddys house and try the beta this weekend.

Bad company does take some adjustment. It does have a weird dark feel to it, and its way more arcady than cod4.

I'm just not a big vehicle fan, but I'll give it a few more chances. Doubt I'll buy it though.

i havent played a BF since the first

the first BFs demo was the best map in the game, the demo map was fucking awsome whatever the name was, was it wake island I forget.

Eiether way this may be a beta but come on its a demo, and relasing these maps doesnt really help it, they are wierdly dark even in the desert.

its because the maps are 5x the size of cod 4 maps... just blackened out w/ oob markers until the attacking team breaks through the barriers.

They have to make it darker so you can't see as far because they wouldn't be able to load all that shit in game with out making the game so laggy it would die.

Yeah I'm not sure what I really want to do with all these games. I enjoy COD a lot, and might start playing it a bit more when the map pack is released. Vegas 2 is starting to grow on me a lot, and this Bad Company looks like it could be solid as well. :|

I still like CoD4 the best to be honest, I am just getting tired of running Headquarters all the time. Playing TDM last night, and some Domination the other day was fun for me.

Once Bad Company comes out, depending on if they don't fuck too much up thats what ill will most likely play with Call Of Duty 4. Even though I was playing with all you guys last night in RB6, I just wasn't having fun. It just feels like an unpolished CoD4 but slower. Spawn camping seems way easier then it is in TDM for CoD4, and even in other CoD4 maps where you can spawn fuck people, its still possible for them to break out of it...

I was sitting right on the spawn last night in the map thats a penthouse, throwing grenades and C4 right on their spawn, waiting for a few seconds after their inv timer ran out and just blowing them up. The bugs, the movement etc just not my style I guess. So I think I am going to trade it in.

Bad Company has lower resolution graphics then CoD4, but the maps are fucking insane huge. I like the game type a lot, its gold rush. Attackers have 2 gold crates to destroy, once they destroy those they spawn at those crates and 2 more down the map spawn, most maps have a total of 3-4 separate objectives that open up. I like the little unlocks you can get, like laser guided missiles for taking out vehicles, Mortar drops for troops, assault gets an instant heal pack, special ops can unlock C4 etc.

The bullets taking forever to kill someone is just the default gun, thats the other thing I like this over CoD4, as you unlock weapons they actually get BETTER then the first gun you use lol. Anyway doesn't matter much really I just ordered a new Paul Reed Smith (Guitar) so once it gets here ill be mixing playtime on the 360 with my new axe.

Vegas is definitely a different style of play than most other games out there. I'm still not sure if I'm actually enjoying Vegas 2 for what it is, or if I'm just in dire need of something new other than CoD4. I've played that game so much with hardly touching anything else I'm just sick of it for the time being.

I haven't really had time to get acquainted with all the Vegas 2 maps yet, but spawn camping was always a problem in the first vegas, and could be the same way here. Although a main part they said they changed for vegas 2 was adding a lot of new routes to get in and out of the spawns so it could just be a matter of people not knowing all the ends and outs of the maps.

CoD was a lot more polished out of the box than Vegas 2 is, and maybe after I have played Vegas 2 for a while I'll be in the mood for some CoD/"insert latest fps to come out". I'm not really going to be too quick to judge Bad Company, but I'm pretty skeptical about the large team sizes and maps along with all the vehicles. I've never been much of a vehicle fan, which is the reason I've stayed away from the BF games in the past. And unless they have dedicated servers I have a hard time seeing connection/fps being smooth in this game as most other games can't handle anything over 6v6. With all that said I'll hold my judgment until I get a demo to play or something.

I am pretty sure its dedicated servers, there is no options to "host" one in the multiplayer settings. As for the vehicles, they are really a non issue on a lot of maps because snipers get laser guided missiles and basically wtfpwn them. You still can get caught by a vehicle, but there is enough ground cover you can usually hide and get away unless you are a real fucktard.

I also don't really like a lot of vehicles, and I might like Bad Company because of the same reasons you stated, just bored of CoD4 all the time, so I don't know until I play it non stop like I did CoD to be honest, but right now its a blast to blow people out of buildings lol.

One of the main reasons Quake Wars failed was because of all the emphasis they put on the vehicles in that game. They took using vehicles as a nice addition and changed it to vehicles are everything. Probably one reason I enjoyed CoD so much was because even though there were vehicles, they were just a bonus. I don't mind if vehicles are important, but only if a small number of players per team are using them.

Hopefully we'll all find something to play together, as it seems people are going to continue to get spread out among different games that fit their preference.

The bullets taking forever to kill someone is just the default gun, thats the other thing I like this over CoD4, as you unlock weapons they actually get BETTER then the first gun you use lol.

Yeah seriously.

My fav gun in each class -

Assault - AK47 (like level 8 or something)
SMG - MP5 (default)
Shotgun - Pump Shotting (default)
LMG - M249, but only with double tap heh (default)
Sniper - M40 (default)
Pistol - USP (early acquisition i think?)

I took a step back and noticed this the other day and just laughed. I guess the gold deagle, g3 and the p90 are the only guns I use that require significant levelling. The gold deagle is just for bling factor.. the g3 I only really use on those "tactical" servers that forbid firing your weapon from the hip and the P90 I use when my team is brutally bad and I can expect to need 50 rounds/clip because my team can't kill anybody.

On the other hand, they if they made the upgraded weapons significantly better people would bitch about it being noob-unfriendly, etc.
