Demo tracks

It'll probably be a while before my band goes back in the studio to finish off our tunes, so I figured I'd just post some now. They're rough cuts (not mixed), missing some stuff like backup vocals, and the guitar solos are just scratch placeholders. Anyways, I think they turned out alright for what they are (basic ska songs):

Stilgar is 51, and about 10 times the musician assfagit will ever be.

As for the songs. I love the style. Can't wait to hear the final mixes. It is still to rough for me to critique them honestly. Sounds as if there may be a tiny tiny timing issue between guitar and snare at right around :30 of Victoria. My favorite of the 3 is RMH.

And in my own defense I was in there FIRST - saying I liked what I heard.

not exactly my type of thing but for what it's worth it sounded good to me. RMH does stand out more for me than the other two.

Right on, keep it coming guys, any specific feedback is appreciated. Minstrel, good catch, there are timing issues in all the songs; the biggest of which I hear at the end of Shots & Pills, but Victoria is pretty bad too. We're aware of it (except the drummer haha), and that's something that would be fixed in the mix (although it shouldn't have to be :().

Great recording for the most part. The vocals sound thin here and there. The rest of the instruments seem like they're panned...center.

Didn't this style of music go out of style in like 1999?

For the record, I had a friend who was in Cherry Poppin' Daddies. He had a gold record on the wall of his den. Pretty cool, I think.

It's coming back man! Ska seems to pop up every few years, we're trying to ride this wave and see how far we get.
