Hardcore vs Regular

I was mainly a hardcore player for a while since my clans server was HC. Recently i have been playin in other servers that are regular game type and i was getting owned at first. The guys just wouldnt die haha.

Anyways is it me does hardcore take away from the weapons pro's and con's? Since it's so easy to kill people every weapon is kind of the same in a sense. The G3 was my "sniper rifle" ...close maps i'd just "pray and spray" with the p90.

What do you guys think...

It's "Spray and Pray" :) and yes, there are a lot of campers on hardcore.

Heh, pistol sniping in Hardcore is starting to get out of hand on some of the servers I play on.

Still though, I prefer it to regular. I'm more of the rush/ninja type player so I'm pretty much always fighting in bad odds situations. Easier to live through a 1 vs many on Hardcore than in regular, all else being equal.

Although the wall spamming is really getting out of hand, especially on Vacant.

Eh i disagree, i was running around wild in regular servers because i wouldnt die as fast, in hardcore seems like if i stuck my head out to much i was a goner.

I love playing regular then going into hardcore servers it feels so much easier.

Your mileage may vary I guess. In PUGs where everyone is competition level (or thereabouts), I've sort of concluded that reflexes are the most important factor in those 1vsMany situations. Hardcore compliments/rewards good reflexes.

Reflexes are important of course and hardcore does train this well. Otoh i'd say awareness is still the most important part of the game and you get that just by playing on any mode against competition level players.

But yea, if you want to train your eyeball/quickdraw abilities, theres nothing that puts you in your place faster than a good game of hardcore s&d against good players
