Squat problems

I've noticed that on the way up, my ass kind of shifts right a little bit. I think this is mostly because my right leg is stronger. Anyway I can correct this? Is this enough of a problem for me to go to a lighter weight? The shift is very slight, haven't noticed it until recently.

drop weight a bit for a few weeks getting the left up to snuff?

Is it possibly a flexibility issue? I'm having a hard time visualizing your ass shifting right (no homo)

I guess a shift is a weird way to put it. Say my ass drew a line when it came down, it would be straight down. On the way up, right before I start moving, my butt goes off that line and to the right. It's as if I'm loading my weight on my right side. Not sure if that makes sense.

are you doing very far down? I know my brothers feet would move at the bottom cause he went so far down he had to bend his ankles. It didn't seem to cause him any problems, though. If it's just a slight shift and there's no pain, I probably wouldn't worry aobut it.

probably your body trying to compensate for the weight. I would drop the weight a bit and see if that helps.

doubt its a leg strength problem, most people don't get near maxing their legs while squating, stabilizers - hip flexors - back and core are generally the bottleneck on squats.

try just concentrating on driving both your heels/feet through the floor. I know what you're talking about when you say your butt shifts. When i concentrate on trying to drive both feet through the floor it seems to help.
