Reminds me of my old Roland Juno 106 with its fat sounds. I miss that thing.

The guy that plays keys for QOTSA uses a Nord. Same with the keyboard dude that opened for QOTSA when i saw them.

I got the NL2X, successor to the NL3...the NL3 is DISCONTINUED and is replaced by the Nord Wave, which is supposed to be fucking awesome, but is $2000+

From Nova Music, you can get the NL2X/Rack with a gig bag, Waldorf software (PPGWave, Attack, and Filters), A Tshirt (lol), and free subscription to a music magazine for $990...great deal!

Eventually I want a real analog/modular system like this, but bigger.

Already own it. Looking into purchasing Jitter for video/sound integration.

MAX MSP is nice and modular, but nothing beats the feeling of moving a real knob and having some gigantic cabinet in front of you.

Nords rock. That said - so do mod synths. I will probably never own one, but I will enjoy the music the people have made with them for a long time.
