is it true that under 40 or 50" you cant tell the difference between 720 and 1080, I always hear that but fucked if I know.


it has more to do with the distance you sit from your tv compared to the size of the tv for example:

If you sit 10ft away on a 46" you won't notice the difference, 52" won't notice the difference, 60" you might.

I sit 3 feet from my monitor so I notice it, but not enough to spend 1grand more.. I bought the 1080p only because of the resolution for PC games because 1920x1080 is a lot better in mmo/fps on pc then 720 resolution.

the human eye can only make out so much detail... there is such a thing as too large... For example, i am able to make out compression artifacts in the bd version of planet earth and a few other bluray movies, i never saw those on my 32" lcd.

None of us have ever played PC games so we dont know what were missing. :rolleyes:
