weird ie7 crash in vista ultimate [Archive]

happens randomly, some sites work some don't and some websites work fine one day and crash with this the next. it is frustrating but it's the only issue i have had in vista. any thoughts? i have googled for over 2 weeks and can't find anything solid.

well after doing a ton of research and nothing working. i found out it's not actually ie that is the issue. but windows media player.

my first clue was that it only happened on websites with audio or video ads.

unfortunately there is no way to reinstall wmp by itself. since vista uses it as a core component. the only way to reinstall is to do a complete format.

i have reinstalled firefox hoping that would fix it and so far it doesn't have an issue. but i haven't tried everwhere.
