WTB Canon Rebel 18-55 kit lens (or other cheap wide dslr lens)

I'll pay $50 shipped for the 18-55 that comes with the camera. Needs to be in good condition with no damage of course.

I just have a prime (50mm) lens at the moment and would like something that can get wider and that has more versatility. I'd consider other cheap lenses also, but nothing over 28mm on the short end.

Hopefully someone here bought the camera with the kit lens, then upgraded later on. I've bought and sold a couple of other things on TW classifieds.

i recommend u suck it up and try to get a sigma or a tamron 17-50mm.

for the xti and the 18-55 kit lens for $479. really really great deal. you could probably keep the lens and sell the xti for about the same price if not more.

Yikes, I wish I had known that deal was coming later. I paid $525 just for the body =\ Good idea about reselling it, but I don't want to go through that hassle. edit: looks like its OOS now too.

Anyway, I'd rather just get a cheap lens right now to tide me over. I'll sell it off later when I upgrade so in the end it will almost be free.
