The only supplements I take are a multivitamin (GNC Mega Man Sport) and their Omega Complex. My Omega stuff just ran out and I realized that perhaps there is a better/cheaper/more potent variation out there that I could buy online?

GNC - Preventive Nutrition Omega Complex (http://www.gnc.com/sm-preventive-nutrition-omega-complex--pi-2231886.html)

that looks cheap already but I guess just some regular fish oil capsules would be a few dollars cheaper

Spy, you get a lot of 6 and 9's for other stuff in your diet (Soy Oil, Corn Oil, Peanut Butter, Olive Oil, etc. etc.) so the blend is a waste. Get some Omega-3 only fish oil capsules.

People eat too much omega 6's with respect to omega 3's. No need making it even worse by supplementing with MORE.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

Without starting a new thread:
Tonalin® CLA, 180 Softgels by Vitamin World - VitaminWorld.com (http://www.vitaminworld.com/pages/file.asp?xs=06B7B426E8CB4 56FA3A8AA6EDB3FECA5&PID=927&CID=&CPID=1310)

Was thinking of adding this. Anyone have experience with CLA? Does it really suppress (even if slightly) body fat and make you more lean?

Or I suppose my question should be if I were to add a third supplement, what should I go for? The importance needs to be stressed in having healthy skin, hair, nails, and a lean body profile. I have no need for stuff like creatine, NO2, etc.

Thanks again. :)

No, flax is NOT the same as fish oil. The biologically active omega-3's are EPA and DHA and flax contains only ALA. ALA has extremely low conversion rates to EPA:

There is considerable interest in the potential impact of several polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) in mitigating the significant morbidity and mortality caused by degenerative diseases of the cardiovascular system and brain. Despite this interest, confusion surrounds the extent of conversion in humans of the parent PUFA, linoleic acid or alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), to their respective long-chain PUFA products. As a result, there is uncertainty about the potential benefits of ALA versus eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) or docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). Some of the confusion arises because although mammals have the necessary enzymes to make the long-chain PUFA from the parent PUFA, in vivo studies in humans show that asymptotically equal to 5% of ALA is converted to EPA and <0.5% of ALA is converted to DHA. Because the capacity of this pathway is very low in healthy, nonvegetarian humans, even large amounts of dietary ALA have a negligible effect on plasma DHA, an effect paralleled in the omega6 PUFA by a negligible effect of dietary linoleic acid on plasma arachidonic acid. Despite this inefficient conversion, there are potential roles in human health for ALA and EPA that could be independent of their metabolism to DHA through the desaturation - chain elongation pathway.

So what happens to the other 94.5% of the ALA :X CANCER?

It is a fatty acid so it could be oxidized or used for some other purpose. The point is that all the research linked to Omega 3's being good for you apply to EPA and DHA and not ALA. ALA may do something but it is not what people are talking about when they discuss most of the health benefits.
