What is the difference if any?
What do you consider yourself?

I try not to play those kinds of semantic games about myself or what I do, no offense to the idea of the thread.

I would like to think of myself as both contiguously (as well as other things: student, teacher, virtuoso of sorts, something of a theory 'scientist' in conjunction with composer 'artist', interpreter of others' works, etcetera...), and that there is no real line drawn that needs to separate the things.

Did I mention that I think of assfrags as an assmonger?
If I didn't, now I am.
Now that the point has been made clear, I wish to state for the record, I believe assfrags to be an assmonger.
I also believe that "it" assmongs for a living. I think the word 'assmong' is one that makes me titter.
I think "its" parents left it on the doorstep of an orphanage for the crimminally retarded assmongs. I also think Hitler was an assmong, but for entirely different reasons. But since I was talking about assmongs I thought I would explore the depth of assmong in general.
Where was I?
Oh yeah, assfrags - you're an assmong.

in all seriousness i think of myself as a sound designer and programmer. i program synths for fun because im addicted to sound. it just so happens i write music with those sounds.

for instance when im creating a new synth or patch in reaktor, i dont think "this would sound great in a song" i think more along the lines of "wow, this is a really cool sound". if and when i use that sound in a song i write is just icing on the cake.

ive been into synth programming for years and years, id do that even if i wasnt using those things to write music. hardware synths/software synths, doesnt matter to me, i just really love playing with sound.

I hear tunes in white noise or see pictures in patterns around me, like the wooden floor.
