Putting weight on sucks

Training and trying to gain mass is a pain for me. I can eat and eat and eat and eat and not put weight on. Heavy lifting 4 days a week....Eat more..... Bam! 2 #'s after a month.

Damn this metabolism! I am cursed to stay at 167#s. You would think my metabolism would have slowed down at 27.

The only way I put on weight is when I take creatine for 2 months. I will put on 3 #s of water mass that I lose over 2 weeks of not taking it.

I completely understand that it is possible for me to gain weight. But, I refuse to spend $20 a day on the food I would need to eat.

What a terrible problem!

Try using cheap, low calorie, high-carb foods if you're a real hard gainer. Pasta is cheap, although more expensive if you get whole wheat, and high in calories. Rice and beans are relatively thick as well. You shouldn't need to drop anywhere near $20 a day in food.

Also 2#s in a month is not bad if you didn't add fat.

Eat your 3 main meals a day and go buy some protein and mix with milk take these in between meals. You will slowly start to gain weight.

peanut butter
whole milk
white rice (not brown or wild)
flour-based foods (pasta, bread)
starchy potatoes (regular potatoes, not sweet or yams)
meat/protein powder

stick to these and you will gain weight.

i'm a hard gainer

i was hovering at 155 for ever. I gradually hit 165 around last april or so. Now i'm at 173 somehow, but its mainly all non-muscle. Just started a new work out so we'll see

i think calipers put me at 11.8% bf

I would like to put on enough muscle to get to around 175-180. Just because I would like to get there.

I am not really sure how many calories I put in me per day when I was trying to bulk. But I would usually eat about 6 eggs, full meaty sub, 3 protein shakes with peanut butter.... and fish, chicken and/or pasta for dinner. A bit of snacking throughout the day, maybe some protein bars or something like that.

I can eat Moe's every day and not put on weight. I am sure in years my metabolism will slow down. But for now, it still acts like it did when I was 17. If I throw in running with my weight training I can cut in 2 or 3 weeks.

Let me clarify that I know that I can put on weight. It just takes me forever. When I started weight training 2 years ago I weighed about 155 and had more fat than I do now. I know I can. It's just boring and expensive.

Putting it on sure does suck indeed. And putting it on (if we are talking about muscle) so it's proportional to your frame is even harder. Nobody wants to gain 20 pounds of muscle on chest and walk around like a hen. Or at least I hope not. :P

But once you reach your weight target it does become a little bit easier. But by then you're already probably obsessing about getting/staying cut. It's a vicious lifestyle. :P

so you'll gain 10 lbs in 2 weeks after the month? or you'll gain 10 lbs in 2 weeks and then need to keep taking pherodrol but the next 2 weeks of taking it yield no gains? WHATS GOING ON!
