Wendel 03-03-2008, 09:27 AM I have a tournament coming up on the 22nd of this month. I missed the last month due to injuries, life-bullshit, and a vacation. I want to make up for this time by going to as many classes as possible each week prior to the tourny. The thing is, classes are draining as fuck.
Is there anything I can take that will boost my energy level? I plan on eating small high-carb meals prior to going to class but have thought about taking creatine. Will this do me any good? I have read that it will put water-weight on me. I can't have this.
I weigh 181 and am at the top of the 166-180 weight-class division. I'm not trying to cut any more than a few pounds when it comes time to weigh-in.
Aside from taking a few bumps before class, what are your thoughts on boosting my energy?
Rev_Night 03-03-2008, 10:19 AM NO Xplode.

Wendel 03-03-2008, 10:50 AM k...

Wendel 03-03-2008, 11:02 AM i'm asking my chemist brother what he thinks about it. he's done some bode building in the past and knows a shit-ton about nutrition. i'll update with his reply...
BeLiaL 03-03-2008, 11:35 AM if you want energy, just make sure you are eating enough food (and don't overload with carbs, it's not good for your body)
Fuzzy 03-03-2008, 11:57 AM hurry up with the chemists reply i need help in my rexkwondo class

x0lent 03-03-2008, 04:01 PM 200-400mg caffeine
25-30mg of ephedrine
... of course, you probably live in the states... so that's not going to happen. ;)
Throw some l-tyrosine in there too. :P
DropSquad 03-03-2008, 04:19 PM eat well get enough sleep... and complex carbs the night before. Why do you think sports teams have "pasta parties"?
BeLiaL 03-03-2008, 04:20 PM because they're stupid and don't understand good nutrition, instead following 30-year-old concepts that are obsolete
Raven 03-03-2008, 05:07 PM be careful with that stuff dude, you might just totally blow your cardio out in the first few minutes and then spend a whole class getting tapped.

The Bear 03-04-2008, 11:30 AM i was actually thinking about this... bad/good idea?
I have heard bad/good things about it i just started taking it about a week ago i have crazy energy burst like all i wanna do is go run or workout it helps keep my intensity up. If your already close to weight than i wouldn't take the 3 pills it tells you too. I take 2 pills in the morning before school and as soon as i get out of class go workout then about 2pm take 2 more and go to soccer practice helps me no be so drained.
As for the weight lose this first week i can tell that i have leaned up alittle i have also been strict on my diet i am gaining muscle still too so my weight change has actually gone up while i have been taking this but my bf % has dropped a little overall i like it some people have bad side effect from it tho research it.
Raven 03-04-2008, 12:27 PM i was being serious by the way.
stimulants sometimes do work for weight loss (i guess?? they seem to have alot of backing, especially for fat loss, on different bodybuilding forums) but taking them to jack you up for a long distance training session seems really bad.
i like to eat some fruit and vegetables (usually some brocolli, then an organge on the train) and then a protien shake and a cup of green tea before my classes so i feel like i have energy but also im nice and light (or feel that way, heh) so i can roll and get stacked without getting a tummy ache.
Rev_Night 03-04-2008, 12:55 PM by long distance training, do you mean lifting for an hour or two or long distance running?
