I had some old Magic the Gathering cards and sold them off to a card shop and decided to go pick up a Distortion Petal.

The only one i looked into was the Dimebag one(i guess its not out in stores yet tho?) which was the only endorced distortion petal from Dimebag Derril(the guy from Pantara who was murdered on stage while Performing ) . They did not have it tho so i asked the guys working there what would they get for the price range of 100. This is what he mentioned

I cant say that I personally have a lot of experiance with whats the best sounding Distortion Petal but my buddy who has played with them in the past pretty much sealed the deal for me by explaining that the distortion knob is a great thing.

Anyhow it cost 120 with the 2 year warranty. So far im really liking it. Not only does the distortion hide my Noob mistakes better but now what im learning to play does not sound so god damm pansy.

Distortion petals FTW.... what do you all think and have any of you used the Metal Muff ? How does it compare to other petals ?

I use no peDals. All my effects are on board dsp. Although I do break out my tube screamer once in awhile.

ok you lost me ... i am really noob so im learning here... I know very little about equipment. Your effects are ON board dsp? So does that mean your amp can do distortion? (i ask cause my buddys can)

and whats a Tube Screamer ? a specific type of Tube Amp ?

Ibanez tube screamer is a vintage 80's overdrive pedal, kinda like distortion with a hi boost. Love it. My amp is a fender cyber twin. It has built in digital signal processing, and is a hybrid. Which means it is a tube amp so it gets killer tone, but it also has any effect I need built in.

Tube screamer that I have, if you are lucky you can find on on ebay. They sell an updated version, but I don't like the tone. The amp you can find on ebay for a little over 500$

I like having one setting for song and one for solo that gives it a mid range boost.
