Audacity Query

Does anyone know if the output of Guitarport can be set as an input for Audacity?

I'm thinking it should as Audacity allows you to select hardware inputs from a drop down menu.

Well, it probably should.

You want I should fucking compile my own copy of audacity?
I'm a fucking musician, not Bofo.
Thanks anyway.

Unless one of you young genius already did so and want to shoot me a copy.

Why are you using Audacity? Adobe Audition is newb friendly if that's what you're looking for? If you can use Audacity you can use that, and it's a lot better.

I have that.
I have SO much shit I have no clue what I am doing.
Come out and show me and the smell of burning success will delight the masses.

And...nevermind anyway.
When I bought the thing on eBay I didn't realize that the original owner had bought it with riffworks included.
When I transferred the registration I got a free copy of the upgrade.

If you're not familiar - riffworks is a simple way to record your shit through the Guitarport hardware.
And the Guitarport allows for multiple input, like winamp.

Audacity is opensource freeware.

I know. That's why it doesn't support anything that requires licensing, and therefore isn't the best option for recording. Besides, who are you kidding? Do you think all of us broke-ass musicians can afford Cubase? And all the plugins like Guitar Rig and Waves? The Waves Mercury bundle is $7500 alone; I'm not about to pay that for home demos, but I will download it because that's what I want to use.

Stilgar, if you ever have any questions about recording stuff, just pop into #collective and ask Ani or myself. Ani is a professional, and I have a lot of knowledge, although no where near ani, about the subject. We will be happy to help you out.
