Yep, we're almost fanboy enough to start trolling on a competing game's forum!

I'm in both the AoC and WAR betas. I play the WAR beta a lot more and AoC is much further along. I don't like AoC's combat system and the levelling up process is pretty boring. I don't know when you get to see PVP but I wasn't seeing any of it by level 10. Supposedly you don't even get out of newbie land until level 20. Have fun with AoC, bye.

I won't disagree that AoC looks cool, but I think WAR will end up coming together as a better product in the long run.

Just look at AO and DAoC:

AO looks a little better and still has a lot of the same weird mechanics that will never change and if something has changed its usually for the worse.


Whereas; DAoC has made VAST changes and improvements, graphically and gameplay wise (despite the imbalances of some of the classes).

They both look good. I'll be trying out both. But Warhammer will have a much larger player base.

I will be playing both, hopefully 1 comes out months before the other ;P

I can see WaR being delayed for a long time, though there is speculation that it's going to be released sometime in June.

I personally don't see that happening...I'm thinking more like fall or even early 09 but idk.

I think AoC is slated for May right now, so I think there's a good chance you'll be able to play AoC until WAR comes out and then go from there...I'm considering doing that myself

think i'll have to go with war for pvp. daoc was the best for pvp, and interviews seem to show that that's what they are focusing on in war. aoc is uh, well yeah. if it comes out before war then i might give it a try. otherwise i don't see it as being a game i'd play long term.
